The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) conducted a payout for 462 beneficiaries of the Cash-for-Training and Work (CFTW) Risk Resiliency Program -
PROJECT LAWA AT BINHI (Local Adaptation to Water Access and Breaking Insufficiency through Nutritious Harvest for the Impoverished),
in partnership with our Local Government, particularly the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office(MSWDO) and Municipal Agriculture Office (MAO).
The said project aimed to strengthen the capabilities of the
poor and vulnerable families in the municipality of Castilla. This project is a proactive intervention and sustainable solution addressing food insecurity and scarcity due to climate change.

City Mayor Ester Hamor, accompanied by City Administrator Atty. Mark Gerald Guirindola, City Legal Officer Atty. Cyril Oropesa, and other officials of LGU Sorsogon City, paid a visit to the office of Senate President Chiz Escudero.

Senator Chiz Escudero, a distinguished figure hailing from Sorsogon, has had a remarkable political journey. Beginning as a congressman in the first district of Sorsogon from 1998 to 2007, he later served as a Senator from 2007 to 2019.

Following his term as Senator, he successfully ran for and assumed the position of Governor of the province of Sorsogon for one term. Subsequently, he triumphed in the 2019 National election, reclaiming his seat as a Senator. Most recently, Senator Chiz Escudero was elected as the Senate President of The Philippines.

ANOTHER PRIDE OF SORSOGON👏🎉♥️🥰

A nine-year-old child from the City of Sorsogon clinched a Gold and a Silver medal in the Philippine Archery Cup Leg 2 and Archery Grassroots Development Program Leg 2.

The said child is recognized as Enrico Sebastian R. Sipoy, who competed in the Under 13 Category with a distance of 30 meters, equivalent to the length of a full basketball court.

The child was declared Rank 1 (Gold Medalist) among twenty-one players from different parts of the Philippines in the U13 Category of the Qualification Rounds of the competition. He is also considered the youngest player in the category as he is only nine years old but competed against 10-12-year-olds.

Archer Sipoy scored 674 points, hitting the center and bullseye in thirty-four out of seventy-two arrows released. The child also brought home the Silver Medal in the Olympic Rounds of the competition.

Archer Sipoy expressed his gratitude to the mayor of the City of Sorsogon, Mayor Ester Hamor, for her Sulay sa Futuro Sports League program, one of the Mayor's 10+1+1 Agenda. The child mentioned that the mayor's program honed his skills to become an Archer, starting just last year.

It is worth noting that Archer Sipoy was also hailed as the Gold Medalist in the Under 10 Category last year at the Philippine National Indoor Archery Championships.

• A safety officer or protocol manager or accountable person should be identified, with detailed ID to be submitted to ICIMT through letter addressed to the Incident Commander
• Strict observance of minimum public health standards

TRANSPORTATION
• Seventy Percent (70%) passenger capacity.

DAHILAN sa muling pagsasailalim sa halos buong kabikolan sa COVID-19 Alert Level 3 status, ay nagpalabas muli ng panibagong Executive Order si Mayor Ester Hamor alinsunod na rin sa mga pamantayan o alituntuning inisyu ng Inter-Agency Task Force on Covid-19 o IATF.

Binigyang diin sa EO 001-2022 na may petsang Enero 16, 2021 ang mga dapat at hindi dapat gawin, mga pinapayagan at mga hindi pinapayagang gawin habang ang buong siyudad ay nananatili pa ring napapasa-ilalim sa level 3 status.

Ilan sa muling ipinagbabawal ay ang paglabas ng mga batang may edad 18 pababa, gayon din ay muling pagbabawal sa matatandaang may edad 65 pataas. Bawal na ring muling lalabas ng bahay ang mga buntis at mayroong "comorbidities" . Sila ay pinapayuhang manatili sa kanilang mga tahanan, malibang kinakailangang lumabas at may kaugnayan sa trabaho.

Binigyang diin din sa kautusang ito ang pagbabawal muli ng sabong o pagu-operate ng sabungan, face to face na pag-aaral sa elementarya at hayskul, karaoke bars, clubs, peryahan, contact sports, concert halls at iba pa. Malibang ang mga ito ay otorisado ng IATF o ng Office of The President.

Samantalang ang Curfew Hours ay mananatiling alas 10 ng gabi hanggang alas 4 ng umaga.

Napakalaki ng pasasalamat ng mga taga Sitio Malidlid, Bulacao. Labis din ang tuwa at lubos na pasasalamat ng Barangay Council dahil sa napakalaking tulong at ginhawang dala nito sa kanilang Barangay.

Isa sa napakalaking hatid na kaginhawaan sa mga taga rito, ay ang malaking kabawasan sa gastusin o bayad upang mailabas ang kanilang mga produkto upang dalhin sa bayan, at maging ang mga kagamitang binibili nila papasok naman sa lugar.

Ngunit higit sa lahat, ay napakalaking tulong ito sa mga panahon ng emerhensiya o kalamidad dahil napakadali na at mabilis ang magiging pagtugon ng mga kinauukulan lalo na tuwing may mga kalamidad katulad ng bagyo. Madali na silang maaabot ng tulong at mabilis na matugunan ang kanilang pangangailangan.

Kasama ang Municipal Health Officer na si Dr. Melquiades Boque, ay nagtungo ang alkalde sa lugar upang kumustahin at tiyaking maayos ang kalagayan ng kanyang mga kapwa lingkod-bayang mga g**o.

Tinitiyak din ni Mayor Mendoza na napadadalhan ng pagkain, mga gamot at vitamins ang mga ito. Kasabay nito ang pagpapalakas ng kanilang mga loob, upang kahit papaano ay maibsan ang kanilang mga kalungkutan dahilan sa pansamantalang pagkawalay sa kanilang pamilya o mga mahal sa buhay.

Samantala, labis ang naging pagpasasalamat ng mga g**ong ito dahil sa ipinapakitang pagmamalasakit ng alkalde. Idinaan naman sa public post sa Facebook ni Ginang Charito Domasig Latorre ay kanyang pagpapasalamat.

NGAYONG umaga araw ng Biyernes, petsa 14 ng taong kasalukuyan ay nagtungo ang Alkalde ng Siyudad ng Sorsogon na si Ester Hamor sa lugar kung saan naroroon ang mga trabahador ng SM.

Ito ay upang tugunan at tulungan ang kanilang kalagayan na pinabayaan diumano at di pinasasahod ng kanilang kontraktor. Napag alamang mahigit nang Apat (4) na buwang hindi sila nakakatanggap ng bayad sa kanilang pinagpaguran. Ito rin ang nag udyok sa kanila upang mag reklamo kay Ginoong Tulfo.

Nang ito ay makarating sa kaalaman ni Mayor Ester Hamor ay agad naman itong umaksyon. Bagama't labas naman dito at walang pananagutan ang Lokal na Pamahalaan sa mga manggagawang ito, ngunit hindi pa rin matiis na pabayaan sila ng alkalde. Ayon pa sa alkalde, ang mga ito ay nasa siyudad natin at walang aasahang tutulong kundi tayo rin naman.

Namigay si Mayor Ester ng tigda Dalawang Libong Piso (2,000.00) sa bawat isa at bukod pa ang mga groceries. Ang kanilang bilang ay umabot sa mahigit na Dalawampu (20).

Sinabi pa ng alkalde na ang ganitong mga pangyayari ay nakakalungkot lalo pa at nasa gitna tayo ng krisis dulot ng pandemya. Dagdag pa niya na makakaasa ang mga ito ng kaniyang tulong kung ito ay kinakailangan.

LGU IROSIN NAGPALABAS NG ISANG EXECUTIVE ORDER ( EO NO. 02 - 2022 ) AT ITO AY ANG MGA PATUNTUNANG IPATUTUPAD PARA SA MGA NAIS UMUWI SA BAYANG ITO.

NAGPALABAS ang opisina ni Mayor Alfredo "Pidoy" Cielo Jr. ng isang kautusan na magiging panuntunan sa sinumang nagnanais na umuwi sa kanilang bayan mula sa ibang lugar lalo na sa mga manggagaling ng Metro Manila, NCR o mga lugar na nasa labas ng Probinsya ng Sorsogon.

Ito ay alinsunod na rin sa mga guidelines o panuntunan na inilabas naman ng IATF o Inter-Agency Task Force ng National Government. Ito ay may kaugnayan sa muling paglobo o pagtaas ng mga kaso ng Covid - 19 sa buong bansa.

Matatandaang sa mga nakalipas na araw ay nakapagtala ng pinaka matataas na mga kaso mula ng manalasa ang virus na Covid sa ating bansa. At maging sa probinsya ng Sorsogon ay hindi nakaligtas sa muli ngang pagtaas ng mga nagkakasakit dulot ng Covid. Kahapon lamang ay nakapagtala ng 63 na panibagong kaso sa buong lalawigan sa isang araw lamang.

Kung kaya dahil dito, ay kaagad na kumilos si Mayor Pidoy Cielo upang maiwasan na lalo pang madagdagan o tumaas pa ang mga kaso sa bayang ito. At kaugnay nga nito, ay kaagad na bumalangkas ang alkalde ng EO 02-2022.

Samantala, ang Irosin ay nasa Alert Level 2 na kategorya sa ngayon.

LIBRENG "THEORETICAL DRIVING COURSE" NA HATID NI MAYOR B**G MENDOZA SA BAYAN NG CASTILLA NAGPAPATULOY.

NAGPAPATULOY pa rin ang hatid na libreng serbisyo ni Mayor Isagani "B**g" Mendoza para sa mga nagnanais na mag avail ng programang ito.

Matatandaang ito ay inilunsad kumakailan lamang upang mas mapadali ang proseso sa mga nagnanais na matuto ng pagmamaneho. Maliban pa rito, ay libre na ang bayarin sa pagkuha ng "Student Driver's Permit" kung ang sinumang sumailalim sa pagsasanay at pagsusulit ay makapapasa.

Ang bayarin ay sinagot na ng butihing alkalde upang lalo pang ma-engganyo ang mga taga Castilla na samantalahin ang pagkakataong ito, na nagresulta naman nang napakaraming dumagsa kung kaya kinailangang gawing ilang "batch" ang mga participants.

Samantala, nagpalabas na ng talaan o listahan ng mga naka kumpleto ng Theoretical Driving Course para sa unang Batch ng 200 na aplikante noong January 11-12, 2022 ayon sa MIO o Municipal Information Officer.

Maaari na rin nilang kunin ang 250 pesos mula sa opisina ni Municipal Mayor Isagani "B**g" Mendoza para sa kanilang LTO Student-Driver Permit fee. Ito ay tugon ng alkalde upang hindi na magmumula sa kanila ang ipangbabayad pa sa LTO. Kung nakapagbayad naman na, ay maaari pa rin nilang kunin ang halagang naibayad na o ito ay maaring mai-refund. Ito ay para lamang po sa unang batch na nakakompleto nang kurso.

Maaari lamang na magpunta sa opisina ni Mayor B**g Mendoza hanggang sa susunod na linggo. Para sa iba pang mga katanungan magsadya lamang sa ating tanggapan o kaya ay mag message sa numerong 09611786376. ayon pa sa ulat.

Samantala narito naman ang paalala ni Mayor B**g Mendoza sa mga nais pang mag avail ng programang ito.

Isa nga ang Siyudad ng Sorsogon sa mga pumasa sa kategoryang "Good Financial Housekeeping" na ipinagka kaloob ng DILG o Department of Interior and Local Government. Ito ay taunang ginagawa ng DILG at isa sa mga mga pamantayan para naman sa pagkakaloob ng SGLG o Seal of Good Local Governance.

Ito ay iginawad noong Disyembre para sa taong 2021 sa ilalim ng administrasyon ni Alkalde Ester Hamor, Bise-Alkalde Eric Dioneda at ang kasalukuyang Konseho ng Siyudad.

Ang iba pang mga Siyudad sa buong Bicolandia na pumasa sa pamantayang ito ng departamento ay ang Legazpi, Ligao at Tabaco na pawang mula sa Lalawigan ng Albay. Iriga at Naga naman ang dalawa mula sa Camarines Sur at ang isa ay ang Siyudad ng Masbate.

Ang Good Financial Housekeeping ay dating kilala rin sa katagang SGFH o Seal of Good Financial Housekeeping. Ito ay pagpapatunay na ang isang lokal na pamahalaan ay sumunod sa mga itinakdang pamantayang ng COA o Commission On Audit sa paghawak, pamamahala, tamang pag-gamit o pag-gasta ng salapi ng bayan.
