Surigao del Norte Police Provincial Office (SDNPPO) ---- PNP personnel of Surigao City Police Station (PS) captured two suspects in the government's continued campaign against illegal drugs and conducted an intensified drug buy-bust operation, which resulted in the successful arrest of the suspects charged with violating RA 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Police Colonel Laudemer M Laude, Provincial Director, identified two male Badjao suspects: Santiago Campatan Lolang, single, 21 years old, unemployed, who was previously a resident of Purok-1, Baybay, Tandag Surigao del Sur.
The other suspect identifies himself as Alvarez Aarjim Nolbia, single, 20 years old, unemployed, and a resident of Barangay Langihan, Butuan City, province of Agusan del Norte.
These suspects were arrested yesterday at Purok Baybay Rose, Boulevard, Brgy. Taft, Surigao City, June 15, 2023 around 10:50PM.
During the operation, the poseur-buyer positively bought from the suspects one plastic sachet of suspected shabu with an estimated weight of more or less .15 grams with a drug price value of One Thousand Twenty Pesos, another five plastic sachets weighed .4 gram equivalent value of Two Thousand Seven Hundred Twenty Pesos and a suspected dried ma*****na fruiting tops sealed in one plastic sachet that has a price value of Four Hundred Pesos.
Seized from the possession of the two suspects were Php1,000.00, served as buy-bust marked money, and one colored pouch containing cash amounting to Two Hundred Twenty Pesos.
According to the report of Surigao City PS, both arrested suspects were newly identified drug personalities under the intelligence monitoring of Surigao City Police Station.
Upon performing the duty, the Barangay Official and a media representative duly witnessed the conduct of the body search.
"Our units' intelligence-driven strategy simply highlights how important it was to execute operational conduct most relevant to the mandates of what we are commissioned to do. The ongoing campaign against illegal drugs has significantly tightened to decrease the number of drug suspects working in the province," PD Laude said.

PNP, AFP, AND PDEA DESTROY P12.9M WORTH OF MA*****NA PLANTS IN SULU
Operating units of Kalingalan Caluang MPS, PDEA SULU BARMM, 74th Special Action Company, 7th Special Action Battalion of Special Action Force, SULU PPO PIU, 1st PMFC, 2nd PMFC, CIDG IX, RIU IX, NICA BARMM, and 4th RMFB of the Philippine National Police in collaboration with the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), achieved a significant milestone in the fight against illegal drugs through the joint operation conducted in Sitio Tubig Baba, Brgy. Pitogo, Kalingalan Caluang, Sulu on June 6, 2023.
The operation resulted in the successful eradication of a massive ma*****na plantation cultivated by a certain MADDI KHAN alias "MADDI," along with his cohorts.
The clandestine Ma*****na farm, spanning approximately 15,000 square meters and containing fully grown ma*****na plants with an estimated value of PhP12,900,000.00, was jointly uprooted and destroyed. Three samples of the uprooted plants were turned over to the Sulu Provincial Crime Laboratory Office for further examination.
"The successful ex*****on of this operation marks a significant step forward in the ongoing efforts to combat the illegal drug trade in the region. It highlights the unwavering commitment of the PNP, PDEA, and AFP in ensuring the safety and well-being of our communities," PNP Chief Police General Benjamin C Acorda Jr.
By eliminating a major ma*****na production site, we have disrupted the illicit drug supply chain and struck a blow against criminal activities that fuel social instability and harm our society.
"The PNP, PDEA, and AFP remain steadfast in their commitment to intensify the fight against illegal drugs and dismantle criminal networks in the region. Collaborative efforts and continued intelligence sharing among these agencies are crucial in eradicating drug production, distribution, and abuse. This is how we give Serbisyong Nagkakaisa to the people.", Acorda added.
Meanwhile, General Acorda extends his appreciation to the residents of Kalingalan Caluang, Sulu, for their support and cooperation throughout this operation.
The success achieved in this operation serves as a testament to the power of joint operations and underscores the resolve of the law enforcement community to create a safer and drug-free society.
Cases for violation of Sec. 16, Art. II of R.A 9165 is now being prepared for filling in the arrested suspects.

Surigao del Norte Police Provincial Office (SDNPPO)โSurigao City Police Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SCPS-DEU) stepped up its fight against illegal drugs by apprehending a high-value drug individual yesterday.
Police Colonel Laudemer M Laude, Provincial Top Cop, identified the suspect as Reil Delgado Sulapas, aka Doydoy, 33, single, unemployed, and a resident of Barangay Kawit 2, Dapa town.
Around 7:45 p.m. yesterday, the Surigao City Police Station Drug Enforcement Unit apprehended Sulapas in Purok 3, Cayutan, Barangay Cagniog, Surigao City.
Based on the report, Sulapas is listed as a high-value individual, was arrested in 2020, and was released in 2023 after availing of the plea bargaining agreement.
During searches, police authorities seized ten pieces of suspected shabu weighing 0.55 grams, an estimated drug price value of Php 3,740.00, a one-thousand peso bill marked money, and one violet pouch.
"The protection and well-being of our Surigaonons is our top priority. We are committed to eradicating the menace of illegal drugs and will take all necessary measures to ensure that our province is free from the risks of drug abuse," PD Laude said.
Sulapas will face charges for breaking RA 9165, otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

Surigao del Norte Police Provincial Office (SDNPPO)-A 22-year-old accused was arrested yesterday by the operatives of General Luna Municipal Police Station and RIU13 for statutory r**e.
Provincial Top Cop, Police Colonel Laudemer M Laude, identified the accused as Ronald Turtur Tokong, single, 22, Kitchen Staff, and a resident of Purok-4, Barangay Consuelo, General Luna town.
The joint operation of General Luna and RIU13 cops arrested Tokong yesterday around 8:20 p.m. in Barangay Malinao, General Luna town, based on the strength of an arrest warrant for statutory r**e under criminal case number 16783.
Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 29, 10th Judicial Region, Surigao City, Surigao del Norte, issued the no-bail arrest warrant on May 12, 2023.
Based on the Crime Information Reporting and Analysis System of Surigao PS, it was revealed that in December 2022, in Navarro Street, Barangay Taft, Surigao City, the accused sexually molested a 13-year-old minor pupil while she had an online class.
"The SurNrte police force is committed to protecting the rights of all children and ensuring justice is served. This arrest is a testament to our dedication to reducing crime, protecting victims, and improving public safety. We will continue to work tirelessly to bring those who commit such vile acts to justice," PD Laude said.
The arrested person is now under the custody of the General Municipal Police Station for proper disposition, waiting for the commitment order from the issuing court of origin.
17 MALAYSIAN NATIONALS RESCUED BY PHILIPPINE NATIONAL POLICE FROM POOR WORKING CONDITIONS
In a joint operation conducted by the Philippine National Police and Royal Malaysian Police, 17 Malaysian nationals were rescued from their working conditions at Klaire One Corp. in Kawit, Cavite.
According to the report from Kawit Municipal Police Station, the operation was conducted at 10:30 PM on May 12, 2023, and led by Regional Intelligence Division 4A with the assistance of the Provincial Intelligence Unit, Cavite Police Provincial Office, and Kawit Municipal Police Station. The operation was carried out in coordination with the Directorate for Intelligence.
The rescued Malaysian workers sought assistance from authorities due to their poor working conditions at the job site and have expressed the desire to resign from the said company.
In a statement, PNP Chief, Police General Benjamin Acorda, Jr. emphasized the PNP's commitment to upholding human rights and promoting the welfare of all individuals within Philippine jurisdiction, regardless of nationality.
"The Philippine National Police remains steadfast in our duty to uphold the rule of law and protect the rights of every individual within our jurisdiction, including foreign nationals," PGen Acorda said. "We will continue to work closely with our foreign counterparts to ensure the safety and well-being of everyone within our borders," PGen Acorda added.
The rescued Malaysian nationals were properly turned over to Supt. Norazman Hassan Basari, Police Attache of the Malaysian Police, at 6:30 AM on May 13, 2023.
The PNP's successful joint operation with the Royal Malaysian Police is a testament to the importance of cross-border cooperation in addressing issues related to human rights and the protection of vulnerable individuals.

Surigao del Norte Police Provincial Office (SDNPPO) ------ After 13 years of waiting for justice for the sexual abuse done by their stepfather, police authorities of Tubod Municipal Police Station served a warrant of arrest for the crime of acts of lasciviousness to the accused detained in their facility.
Police Colonel Laudemer M. Laude, Provincial Director, identified the accused as a watchman 62-year-old male resident of Purok- Malipayon, Barangay Cawilan, Tubod, Surigao del Norte.
The arrest warrant against the accused was issued by the Regional Trial Court (RTC), 10th Judicial Region, Branch 32, San Jose, Surigao del Norte, on May 4, 2023, for the crime of acts of lasciviousness under Section 5(B) Article III of Republic Act No. 7610 under criminal case number 16746, with a recommended bail bond of Php180,000.00.
Citing the report of Tubod MPS, the accused sexually abused his two minor stepdaughters on March 5, 2010, in Purok Malipayon 2, Barangay Cawilan, Tubod Municipality, whom he threatened not to report his wicked acts. Further, the siblings suffered numerous instances of sexual assault by their stepfather.

Surigao del Norte Police Provincial Office (SDNPPO) ------ Police authorities of Surigao City Police Station arrested a wanted person for violating Section 10(A) of Republic Act 7610 yesterday, May 8.
Police Colonel Laudemer M. Laude, Provincial Director, identified the accused as Joshua Lanote, a single, 19-year-old male student and a resident of Purok 2, Barangay Poctoy, Surigao City.
Lanote was arrested yesterday around 4:11 p.m. in Sitio Payawan 1, Barangay Luna, Surigao City, by virtue of a warrant of arrest for violating Section 10(A) of Republic Act 7610 under criminal case number 16735.
Lanoteโs warrant of arrest was issued by the Regional Trial Court (RTC), Branch 32, Surigao City, on May 4, 2023, with a bail bond recommendation of Php80,000.00 for his temporary liberty.
Citing the investigation of Surigao City police, the accused committed the crime on October 25, 2022, at Purok 6, Barangay Poctoy, Surigao City, victimizing a 15-year-old male student, a resident of Purok-2, Barangay Mabini of this city.
Accordingly, while the victim was consuming his milk tea in a store and waiting for the rain to stop, the accused and three others suddenly arrived and, without any words, mauled the victim, hitting the face and body parts.
โWe ensure that your SurNte police is competent in tracking down the subject of arrest warrants issued by various courts. Through our continued efforts and stepped-up search for the suspect to face their charges, we will find where they are hiding,โ PD Laude said.
The arrested person is now in the custody of Surigao City Police Station for proper disposition.
