WE DO NOT WORSHIP THE SAINTS

The most common accusation against Catholics by other Christian Churches is the supposed worship of the saints. This is not true. We do not worship the saints nor the images. Worshipping the saints is a sin. It is idolatry. God alone should be worshipped. What we render to the saints is honor and veneration. We honor them just as how we honor national heroes, for the saints are the heroes of the faith. We honor them because they provide us three things: INSTRUCTION (their writings and words teach us about the faith), INSPIRATION (we model our way of life to theirs), and INTERCESSION (we ask them to pray for us).

Prayer to Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary

O Queen of the Most Holy Rosary, in these times of such brazen impiety, manifest thy power with the signs of thine ancient victories.

From thy throne whence thou dispense pardon and grace, mercifully regard the Church of thy Son, His Vicar on Earth, and every order of clergy, religious, and laity, who are oppressed in this mighty conflict.

Thou who art powerful, the vanquisher of all heresies, hasten the hour of mercy, even though the hour of God’s justice is every day provoked by the countless sins of men, the sons and daughters of Adam.

Obtain for me, the least of men, kneeling before thee in supplication, the grace I need to live righteously upon earth, in order to be numbered among the just in heaven.

In the company of all faithful Christians throughout the world, I salute thee and acclaim thee as Queen of the Most Holy Rosary.

Queen of the Most Holy Rosary, pray for us. Amen.

24 September - OUR LADY OF MERCY

Let us pray,

Blessed Virgin Mary, who can worthily repay you with praise and thanks for having rescued a fallen world by your generous consent! Receive our gratitude, and by your prayers obtain the pardon of our sins. Take our prayers into the sanctuary of heaven and enable them to make our peace with God.

Holy Mary, help the miserable, strengthen the discouraged, comfort the sorrowful, pray for your people, plead for the clergy, intercede for all women consecrated to God. May all who venerate you feel now your help and protection. Be ready to help us when we pray, and bring back to us the answers to our prayers. Make it your continual concern to pray for the people of God, for you were blessed by God and were made worthy to bear the Redeemer of the world, who lives and reigns forever. AMEN.

Dearest Mother, as we worry about our own problems, let us not forget the needs of others. You always love others so much; help us to do the same. While praying for our own intentions and for the intentions of all here present at this Novena, we earnestly ask you, our Mother to help us comfort the sick and the dying, give hope to the poor and unemployed, heal the broken-hearted, walk in solidarity with the oppressed, teach justice to their oppressors, and bring back to God all those who have offended Him.

Dearest Mother, help us to avoid sin which separates us from our heavenly Father and from one another. Full of trust in you, we place ourselves under the mantle of your maternal protection and confidently hope for your compassionate intercession. AMEN.

Si TUCP Party-list Representative at House Deputy Speaker Raymond Democrito Mendoza ay naghain ng House Bill (HB) No. 7871 o ang Wage Recovery Act of 2023 na naglalayong ipatupad ang Across the board wage recovery na P150 umento sa arawang sahod ng private sectors employees.

"Workers can no longer afford to wait for the regional wage boards to act. Since late last year, TUCP was already calling on the wage boards to address the steady decline in the real value of wages due to surging inflation but TUCP's call fell on deaf ears. Unfortunately, it seems that workers will be left with an empty bag as the wage boards are taking their sweet time in the face of increasing hunger," ayon kay Deputy Speaker Mendoza.
