First Midweek Service & Prayer Meeting | February 1, 2023

"Come, and let us return unto the LORD: for he hath torn, and he will heal us; he hath smitten, and he will bind us up.

After two days will he revive us: in the third day he will raise us up, and we shall live in his sight.

Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the LORD: his going forth is prepared as the morning; and he shall come unto us as the rain, as the latter and former rain unto the earth."

Water baptism is the public declaration of the inward transformation of those who have repented of their sin and placed their faith in the Lord Jesus and His sufficient, once-for-all sacrifice for sinners at the cross of Calvary. Those who follow Jesus into the waters of baptism have come to understand, through the Holy Spirit, the reality and power of the gospel message: "...that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures (1 Corinthians 15:3-4)"

Heavenly Antidote!

When the pelican feels like his babies have been bitten by a snake, he hits his chest with the itch until it bleeds and then lets the baby suck with blood drops containing the antidote against the snake. Nature will never cease to amaze us!

This reminds me that just over two thousand years ago Jesus through His blood gave us antidote against the Snake bite which is the Devil and Satan. Nature speaks of the Creator!
