If God Wills

Come now, you who say, "Today or tomorrow we will go into such and such a town and spend a year there and trade and make a profit"— yet you do not know what tomorrow will bring. What is your life? For you are a mist that appears for a little time and then vanishes. Instead you ought to say, "If the Lord wills, we will live and do this or that." As it is, you boast in your arrogance. All such boasting is evil. So whoever knows the right thing to do and fails to do it, for him it is sin.

As followers of Christ, we believe that we are following Christ, the Way, the Truth and the Life. We claim that our religion is legit, and rightly so, just because the God of this religion is the ONLY LIVING GOD, the unrivaled one. Now, if we are what we say we are, followers of Christ, belonging to the legit religion, then, do we possess the characteristics spelled out in the passage from the book of James?

(be mindful of the words that comes out your mouth)

• Compassionate
(be helpful and do not expect payment, nor help in return)

• Vigilant (guarding your actions to keep yourself in the right path)
The message of James is that those who have been truly saved through the gospel must manifest that salvation in practical ways in their lives.

Questions to ponder:

1.)Are you living out the things you have known and heard about Christ, so that people around you can classify you or identify you as Christian?

2.)Are you tactful, compassionate and vigilant?
3.)Are you a legit Christian/follower of Christ? ARE YOU???
