SENATE OF THE PHILIPPINES COMMENDS JIL CHURCH WORLDWIDE ON ITS 46th FOUNDING ANNIVERSARY

Senate commends the Jesus Is Lord Church Worldwide on its upcoming 46th Anniversary—set on October 12, 3pm, at Luneta Park, Manila—recognizing its remarkable contribution to nation building through sound Biblical counsel that "shields the country from threats of spiritual, moral and social decay..." In a statement on Senate of the Philippines Facebook post, Sen. Joel Villanueva thanked the Senate for "celebrating the Jesus is Lord Church Worldwide's upcoming 46th founding anniversary," and expressed his appreciation for the kind gesture of his Senate colleagues.

Youth who are motivated by the cross are also disciples of Christ. A disciple is a person who personally obeys Jesus and God's laws. Therefore, in order for us to be considered disciples of Jesus, we must love God above all else, submit to and dedicate ourselves to His work, obey all of His commandments, move toward righteousness and holiness, and, above all, carry our own CROSS by leaving all of our selfish motives behind and persevere through challenging paths in order to be worthy of receiving God's promises.

Jesus Christ was sent to the world more than 2,000 years ago to redeem mankind. He followed His Father’s will without complaining and arguing—even at the expense of death on a cross.

As children of God, who belong to the lineage of Jesus Christ who obeyed God at all costs, we must also possess the same passion and commitment in fulfilling God’s will and take the challenge of continuing Jesus Christ’s mission of redemption starting with our family to our society at large.

Remember forgetting and letting the past go will lead us to a hope-filled tomorrow.
