ICYMI: On March 13, 2024, at 9:00 a.m., the Agri Reforestation initiative took place at the Hardin ng Lunas of the Armor (Pambato) Division in Camp O'Donnell, Capas, Tarlac.

Our SSLG Officers participated in the event, representing in the name of Maliwalo National High School. The Guest of Honor for this occasion was joined by Honorable Secretary of Defense, Atty. Gilberto C. Teodoro Jr.

Witnessing the spirited display of patriotism, Maliwalo National High School SSLG Officers proudly hoisted our flag today as they embarked on a significant journey to represent our alma mater at "TaLA 2024: Tarlac Leadership Assembly" hosted at Don Bosco Technical Institute - Tarlac with a theme "Kulturang Pilipino, Lideratong Tarlakenyo".

Join us this Earth Hour later this 8:30 - 9:30 PM, as we dim the lights and shine a spotlight on the importance of sustainability. Together, let's make a difference and inspire positive change for our planet. ☝🏻

Earth Hour is a global movement that symbolizes our commitment to protecting the planet. For one hour, people around the world switch off non-essential lights and electronics to show solidarity in the fight against climate change. It's a simple yet powerful gesture that highlights the urgency of preserving our environment.

LOOK: Career Guidance Exploration took off just this Tuesday for our graduating learners from various strands of grade 12. 🪁🪄

Career guidance is here to be a helpful companion on your journey to discovering the ideal career. It involves self-discovery, exploring interests and strengths with a supportive advisor, and aligning them with various career options. The process includes setting achievable goals, navigating education and training, and not just finding a job but a fulfilling career. The guidance helps in making informed decisions, developing essential skills, and adapting as the journey progresses, ensuring a sustained love for what you do.

Alongside the trees, Students and Educators are developing initiative abilities, responsiveness for the climate, and a sensation of responsibility as they till, plant, and keep an eye on the land. The Supreme Secondary Learner Government extended their greetings to all teachers on yesterday's World Teachers' Day!

Maliwalonian Learners celebrated World Teachers' Day in their respective classrooms. This classroom-based celebration not only served as a touching display of heartfelt appreciation but also brought to light the vital role that teachers played in shaping the academic journey of students. Such events served as touching reminders of the bond between educators and their students, fostering an environment of mutual respect and admiration.

‘sindihan’ is also in reference to Jesus Christ’s words in Luke 12:49 when He said, ‘I have come to bring fire on the earth, and how I wish it were already kindled.’ Like Jesus, the real heroes dare to ‘set the world ablaze’ with their convictions, even if taking a stand meant causing division or disruption.

Rizal wrote El Filibusterismo in dedication
to the three martyred priests(GomBurZa),
expressing conviction that their treatment and deaths at the hands of the Spanish authorities was unjust.

Rizal urged the Filipinos through his works to open its eyes to reality and rebel against the Spanish government for its oppression and abuse.

Because of Rizal's writings, he was tried before a court-martial for rebellion, sedition, and conspiracy, and was convicted on all three charges and sentenced to death.

The death of Jose Rizal ignited the revolution in the country against the Spanish government.🔥

Trivia:
The law actually does not state a specific hero to celebrate.
Thus, alongside celebrating the heroes of old, this day also gives recognition and honor to our modern-day heroes.

Today, we commemorate the 40th death anniversary of former
Senator Benigno "𝙉𝙞𝙣𝙤𝙮" Aquino Jr.

August 21 1983, former Sen. Benigno "𝙉𝙞𝙣𝙤𝙮" Aquino Jr. returned to the Philippines
following three years in exile. He was assassinated on the Tarmac of Manila International Airport(now NAIA).

His assassination started a chain of events that would lead to the 1986 People Power Revolution that ousted the late dictator Ferdinand Marcos, father and namesake of incumbent President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.

BRIGADA ESKWELA KICK OFF DAY 3! 💛

Another day of MNHS-SSLG ready to lead, serve, and influence at Maliwalo National High School. Today, SSLG, STE Officers, and YES Organization helped each other and designated themselves where to clean, which includes polishing chairs, segregating and throwing out the garbage, and clearing up the school grounds to maintain the cleanliness. More student volunteers are joining up to help clean in preparation for the new school year.

We're looking forward to see more Maliwalonians tomorrow! Tara na, Mag Brigada Eskwela na! 🍃
