Free education for all Learners with Disabilities

Photos from DepEd Tayo Bagong Pook ES - Special Needs Education's post 23/02/2024

Good day!

Today (February 23, 2024), DepEd Tayo Bagong Pook ES - Special Needs Education is honored to be welcomed by the City Civil Registrar's Office Trece Martires headed by Maximo L. Lontoc Jr. and assisted by Claire V. Amparo, Cherie Ann R. Lim and Ivy Jen V. Escallar. They came to feed 140 learners with disabilities including those in the Inclusive Education as part of their Civil Registration Month 2024 with the theme "CRVS: The Future of Seamless Services". The Philippine Statistics Authority and the local offices of civil registrar aims to encourage every citizen to understand the significance of civil registration and vital statistics in shaping the future of the nation.

We thank them for giving their time coming to the School. We thank the ever grateful Dr. Salvador A. Espineli for informing everyone in this school feeding event for learners with disabilities, and especially Mayor Gemma Buendia Lubigan who initiated this program.

We want to inform everyone that all learners and parents or guardians have allowed to show their faces on camera.

“Love is like a beautiful flower which I may not touch, but whose fragrance makes the garden a place of delight just the same.” – Helen Keller

That is what our Deaf, Pre-Vocational and Transition learners did in making roses and flowers made from ribbons. Rather than buying roses that lasts just days, this one lasts forever no matter who you date with even after Valentine's Day.

These roses making is also a livelihood opportunity for our learners with disabilities to gain experience in making such kind and have better skills in familiarizing the process. When it's about to sell around Love Season, the learners in the regular, graded ones did love it.

"A toy can last shorter but a stuffed toy can lasts forever."

That was the message given by SPED Teacher Mr. Jawomar Charlie B. Maligayo when he introduces SM Cares and Toy Kingdom to the School their annual holiday plush toy called Bears of Joy. This past year, the bears were focused on the fandom surrounding the P-Pop culture. Hence the B-Pop bears came in.

We at DepEd Tayo Bagong Pook ES - Special Needs Education were very happy to bring joy to Learners with Disabilities as well as Inclusive Learners who are the main beneficiaries of this annual Yuletide project by SM. We would also thank the people and mall customers who purchased Bin, Eya, Ace and Rina to donate to this wonderful School. We also thank Miss Cristal Doronila and Miss Monica Adil, Marketing Managers of SM City Trece Martires for making this a reality. We would also thank Dr. Salvador A. Espineli for the encouragement and assistance in making this gift giving possible, Mrs. Maribel Villanueva for the special message, Mrs. Bernadette Lait who's in charge of the Deed of Donation and Miss Kirsten Keziah Atas for the message to our learners with disabilities.

Muli, maraming maraming salamat po!

Photos from DepEd Tayo Bagong Pook ES - Special Needs Education's post 24/11/2023

We may have celebrate a week late, but Bagong Pook Elementary School will not left behind in events like the Deaf Awareness Week. We celebrate the Deaf Awareness Week to raise awareness of the communication needs of deaf and hard of hearing people,
advocate for greater access to communication tools and services, and encourage people and services to work together to create a more inclusive society where deaf people have equal access to communication.

With the theme "Promote Safe and Inclusive Education, Filipino Sign Language (FSL) and other means of Communication towards Resilient Future," the national observance aims to raise awareness on the use of FSL as a medium for teaching and learning for Deaf learners, and to foster safe and inclusive education for them.

Ang ating mga Learner with Disability ay nagpapatuloy ang kanilang mga livelihood activity upang mabigyan sila ng pagkakataon mamuhay at mamuhunan sa negosyong gusto nilang pagkakitaan pagdating ng panahon. Hindi lang po ang dishwashing liquid, dedication card at bookmark ang pinapagawa ng ating mga LWD pati ngayon po ay nagsisimula na kaming gumawa ng basahan upang matutunan sila kung paano maging produktibo.

Orientation for Reducing to Zero, Be a Waste Hero: Innovate, Nurturing the Nature Forward (ROWHING Forward) Project

On October 20 (Friday), Bagong Pook Elementary School's Special Needs Education gave learners a hands-on approach in recycling used paper with ROWHING Forward Project. Used paper have used--either cut into shredded pieces or ripping parts--then soaked into water overnight before being a pulp using a blender. Then, these pulp would be place into a DIY mould and deckle before drying.

This paper-recycling project aims:
☑️To build awareness on environmental issues, waste management, and circular economy.
☑️Equip learners with disabilities with the skills of making pillows made of plastics and scrapbooks made from paper to boost self-reliance, independence, productivity, career-building skills, and environmental awareness.
☑️Generate income and prepare self-sufficiency among learners with disabilities.
☑️To advocate eco-friendly practices, and creativity among learners, teachers, and students of Bagong Pook Elementary School.

Parts of the recycled paper will be used to sell products in the future like Christmas Cards, Book Markers, etc. With so many paper to recycle, it will take a week to complete these fine pulp.

Note: All learners have agreed to show themselves on camera.

Special Needs Education is not just serving special education needs in groups and self-containment alone. We also serve those who are in inclusion. Guided by their respective Individualized Education Plan and the curriculum offering in it, these learners are informed by SPED teachers and regular classroom teachers on what they will do on their tasks throughout the school year.

Egg Collage, Part 3

Two hours tapos na agad. Satified ang inyong lingkod. Pinayagan sila na makuha ang kanilang picture bilang patunay.
