ATTENTION | Andrews Campus Electoral Board has released the RESOLUTION № 04-2425; A RESOLUTION EXTENDING THE FILING PERIOD FOR COLLEGE STUDENT COUNCIL ELECTION AND SPECIAL ELECTIONS

WHEREAS, the Campus Electoral Board has established deadlines for the filing of certificate of candidacy for the College Student Council and House of Representative Special Election;

WHEREAS, the original deadline for filing of certificate of candidacy for the above-mentioned elective positions is set on August 28, 2024;

WHEREAS, feedback from interested candidates has indicated that additional time is necessary to prepare and submit their requirements;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Campus Electoral Board that: The deadline for the filing of certificate of candidacy for College Representative and Partylist Representatives is hereby extended from August 28, 2024 to August 29, 2024.

ATTENTION | Andrews Campus Electoral Board has released the RESOLUTION № 03-2425; A RESOLUTION AMENDING THE RESOLUTION № 03- 2324 CLARIFYING AND IDENTIFYING THE TERM "POSITION" IN CAMPUS AND COLLEGE STUDENT COUNCIL ELECTIONS

WHEREAS, Holding significant positions within the college, campus, or university for a period of one (1) or two (2) academic years is a fundamental constitutional requirement that all candidates must fulfill to be eligible for the positions they seek;

WHEREAS, Article II, Section 19 of the 2023 University Student Council Federation Constitution and By-laws specifies the key positions within the college, campus, and university that are necessary for candidacy in certain student council roles;

WHEREAS, The interpretation of "key positions" has, in practice, reduced the number of students eligible to run for positions in the Campus and College Student Councils, thereby limiting the pool of potential candidates;

ATTENTION | Andrews Campus Electoral Board has released the RESOLUTION № 02-2425; A RESOLUTION ADOPTING A NEW OFFICIAL LOGO OF THE CAMPUS ELECTORAL BOARD OF CAGAYAN STATE UNIVERSITY - ANDREWS, Introduced by Campus Electoral Board Chairperson Mara Sheidee P. Valiente

WHEREAS, the Campus Electoral Board recognizes the importance of a symbol that reflects the core values and mission of the board to uphold the highest standards in student governance;

ATTENTION | Andrews Campus Electoral Board has released the RESOLUTION № 01-2425; A RESOLUTION DECLARING A SPECIAL ELECTION TO FILL VACANCIES IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE CAMPUS STUDENT COUNCIL

WHEREAS, Section 7.4, Article VII of the 2023 University Student Council Federation provides:
"There shall be one representation per college regardless of the number of students in such college. However, when the student population is more than 1,500, additional representation or seat in the House of Representatives shall be established."

WHEREAS, Section 8.4, Article VII of the 2023 University Student Council Federation provides:

WHEREAS, the House of Representatives is currently composed of two (2) CAHS Representatives, two (2) CHM Representatives, one (1) CBEA Representative, and one (1) CTED Representative;

WHEREAS, the House of Representative cannot properly operate as a legislative body without filling vacancies therein.

NOW BE IT RESOLVED AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the Andrews Campus Electoral Board to DECLARE A SPECIAL ELECTION TO FILL VACANCIES IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE CAMPUS STUDENT COUNCIL.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the special online election shall be conducted simultaneously with the online election of the College Student Councils of Cagayan State University - Andrews.
