If It’s Meant to Be

Kung para sa iyo, para sa iyo. Kung hindi naman, huwag ng ipilit at baka makasama lang. Madaling sabihin hindi ba? Pero napakahirap mag-let go lalo na sa mga bagay, tao, o pangarap na gustong-gusto mo. Pero naniniwala akong if it’s meant to be mapapa sa iyo ito kahit ilang hurdles o obstacles pa ang pagdaanan mo, kahit ilang taon pa ang ipaghintay mo.

Magandang araw! Ako si Maloi Malibiran-Salumbides, para sa Protips, partner mo sa pagpupursige sa buhay at trabaho.

May kakilala akong, ilang beses nireject ng taong napupusuan niya. Pero nagpursige, patuloy na nanalangin, at kahit masakit, hindi nagpa-apekto sa mga payo na mag-give-up na, ihinto na ang “fighting pilit” niya at ibaling na lang feelings sa iba. Pagkatapos ng pitong taon, ang inaasam na “Oo” ay natamo din. Ngayon, mahigit dalawang dekada na silang mag-asawa. Meant to be.

Meron din akong kakilala na nagsimula bilang sekretarya sa isang radio station. Pangarap niya na maging broadcaster pero ang sabi sa kanya, hindi daw pang-announcer ang boses niya. Nagsumikap, nag-ensayo, at lahat ng opportunities para mahasa bilang voice talent, writer at producer ay tinanggap niya. Ngayon hindi lang siya announcer, naging station manager pa. Hindi madali ang naging lakbay, pero ang pangarap na pinagsumikapan, natamo rin. Meant to be.

Ang sabi sa Isaiah 14: 27, "For the Lord of armies has planned, and who can frustrate it? And as for His stretched-out hand, who can turn it back?” Kapag inadya ng Panginoon, walang makapipigil dito. Kaya kung mayroon Siyang layunin para sa iyo at ikaw ay susunod, mangyayari at mangyayari ito.

In the meantime, what do you do while waiting for God's will to unfold in your life and career?

1) Keep your options open. Minsan may mga gusto tayo pero hindi naman pala iyon ang layunin ng Diyos para sa atin. Kaya magandang maging bukas tayo sa kalooban Niya. Kung may mga plano na hindi matuloy, umiyak ng saglit, damhin ang sakit at frustration pero magpivot at isiping, may mas mabuting plano ang Diyos para sa iyo.

2) Keep your eyes on the prize. May panahon din na hindi naman pinapagive-up ng Diyos sa iyo ang mga pangarap mo kundi inihahanda ka pa Niya para dito. Kapag hinog sa pilit, hindi kasing sarap ang bunga, madalas nga mapait o mapakla pa. Many times, our dreams are not yet being fulfilled because we are still in the preparation stage. Enjoy the journey as you await reaching the destination. Keep your eyes on the prize.

3) Keep asking and listening to God. Piliin mo ang iyong pakikinggan. Minsan may mga taong magsasabi sa iyo na sumuko ka na at ibaling na ang lakas sa ibang pangarap at ibang plano. Pero hanggang hindi ang Diyos ang nagsasabi sa iyo na mag-let go ka, just be still and don't make any life altering decisions. Patuloy na maghintay, magtanong at makinig sa Diyos.

Keep your options open. Keep your eyes on the prize. And keep asking and listening to God. Walang makapipigil sa plano ng Diyos para sa iyo. Kung Kanyang kalooban at bukas ka para sundin ito, tiyak na makakamit mo kung ano ang para sa iyo. Delays and detours may happen but what's meant to be, will eventually happen. Hintay lang at kapit lang.
