Bacolod City is currently under MECQ and the PUV drivers have no income. The mandated government food supplies given to UNDOC were expired and inedible making the drivers’ families fall sick. UNDOC drivers held a protest this afternoon pleading to the government for aid in a time of desperation.

BAYANIHANAPBUHAY - Sikap PH

Good day! The Office of VP Leni Robredo recently launched BAYANIHANAPBUHAY to help workers who lost their jobs, or those whose source of livelihood was disrupted because of the pandemic, find employment opportunities. The program includes Sikap.ph, a free online job platform developed by their partner Elevatech, which now has over 6,000 available job vacancies posted.

As the OVP works towards increasing the number of job postings, they are also actively looking for job seekers who may benefit from the platform. Creating an account on Sikap.ph is completely free for both job seekers and employers—all you need is a working email address or an accessible Facebook or Google account to register. Its interface is simple and user-friendly, making job hunting easy and convenient for all.

Since the implementation of MECQ a few weeks ago, our jeepney and tricycle drivers are still not able to get a steady income to purchase their basic needs.

For this batch of donations, we aim to raise Php 500,000 to distribute more relief goods with additional necessities and face shields. Your donations, no matter the amount, would be a big help to achieve this!

PARA! Kay Manong is a campaign that seeks to help jeepney and tricycle drivers amidst the ongoing pandemic. Since our launch on April 19, 2020, we were able to reach 30 barangays, 3,613 beneficiaries, and raise a total of about Php 1.8M.

This morning, PARA! Kay Manong, in partnership with UP Lambda Delta Sigma, distributed relief goods to our manongs from UP Pantranco.

We would like to thank RPG Distribution Services for donating hygiene products, and to the UP Village for allowing us to distribute goods at their covered court.

This distribution wouldn’t have been successful without their kind hearts and help, as well as all of your continued support!

In partnership with the UP Delta Lambda Sigma Sorority, PARA! Kay Manong distributed relief goods to our manongs from UP-Katipunan this morning.

Last week, PARA! Kay Manong distributed relief goods to LIKADOA, JODAMMI Association, LAJODA, MBP JODA Kaliwa, Pinatubo-Stop and Shop jeepney drivers in Mandaluyong City. We were also able to distribute 220 bags to jeepney drivers in Quezon City through ABS-CBN’s show Iba ‘Yan.

That’s it kababayans, our 3rd batch of call for donations is now officially closed! We are happy to announce that we have have garnered a final amount of PHP 1,748,896.13 or 3,497 bags of relief goods for our 3rd batch of donations!

As you’ve become a channel of hope to our manongs, allow us to say thank you for supporting our initiative since the beginning and allowing us to reach out to an overwhelming number of Tricycle and Jeepney drivers.
