Humility is the fear of the Lord; its wages are riches and honor and life.
Proverbs 22:4
As Christian, the most important and I believe the only thing to prepare for the Day of the Lord is the heart, however this is the most complicated and is beyond repair that by the Grace of God alone we can sustain its state fixed on Jesus Christ.
That's why Peter and Paul addressed us to be sober, vigilant, and watchful, not on one another's issues (ayaw tutoki ang sayop sa uban) but to search our own hearts (ato kasing kasing mismo ang susihon) if we are still in Faith, Love and Hope.
Many might not agree, but the Bible is clear that there may be some if not many, will call upon Him "Lord, have we not used your name to do good works and proclaim your Salvation" but Jesus will answer "Away from me you doers of iniquity".
If He will punish eternally those who claim to have done good works for His name, how much more those who claim to be Christians only by name and not by works.
The question is, do we really know the Lord? Is He really the Lord in our heart? because if it is, then repentance, forgiveness, and love should abound in our hearts.
As Christians we should not create rooms for malice, bitterness, hatred, slander which oppose the Fruit of the Spirit, but instead as Paul says in Philippians
"Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things."
Philippians 4:8 NIV
We are not perfect but the Holy Spirit teaches us always to get up, stand still, fix our eyes on Jesus (not in this world), and to long for heavenly things that are more precious than this world could offer.
Choose to be reconciled to one another,
