Introduction: The HUMSS Strand is well-known as HUMANITIES AND SOCIAL SCIENCES. It is one of the strands offered to Senior High students. This strand is for learners who aim to take up journalism, communication arts, liberal arts, education, and other social science-related courses in college.

The HUMSS strand revolves around improving a student’s reading, writing, and speaking skills because if you haven’t noticed yet, people who choose this strand are aspiring to become members of the society who will be be dealing with a lot of people. (e.g teacher, psychologist, lawyer, etc.) Honing these skills are crucial for them to establish effective communication with people when they are working. For these reasons, half of the subjects involved in this strand focus on Language and Speech. While Mathematics and Science are still included in their daily schedules, they are not too difficult since they do not belong to the specialization subjects of the said strand.

Mission: Humanities and Social Sciences seeks to create everyday leaders. Supports excellence in education through a diverse, dynamic, and personalized academic environment that emphasizes engaged learning. We educate students to embody holistic knowledge, inspire critical thinking, possess dynamic oral and written communication skills, and become global citizens. Together, this education and training will equip students to make positive changes in their communities.

Vision: Humanities and Social Sciences will become the premier liberal arts college in the Philippines, providing the core intellectual and engaged learning experiences that prepare students for their role as active citizens and everyday leaders.

Objectives: Students in HUMSS develop the needed knowledge and skills in bringing about positive change through the study of social science theories and concepts, community-based realities, study of culture, society and politics, discussion on moral issues. Using varied mediums of human interaction, students in HUMSS likewise develop their communicative competence in the use of English and Filipino languages as they are expected to produce literary, research-based, performance-based, academic and digital outputs.

QUIT SMOKING🚭

I know some adults smoke to relieve their stress or just smoke. But nowadays even teens smoke. These are the following why teens smoke:
-Their parents are smokers
-Peer pressure-their friends encourage them to try ci******es and to keep smoking.
-They see smoking as a way of rebelling and showing independence and.
-They think that everyone else is smoking and that they should, too.

But smoking is bad for health. It can cause cancer, asthma etc. So I say QUIT SMOKING.

What it says is that we should not use social media just to be popular and complain. Let's use it to help people in need and use it to spread information and news during the pandemic.

It is a song about a child born into the world with his parents who are overjoyed. He was cared for until he grew up just to rebel and repent of past sins.

I featured this song on my page because what Freddie Aguilar sang is a masterpiece and it reflects on a common life of every child or even an adult.
