Good day! As we start the session "Interview With Writers" conducted by el_enzeeel, we have our first interviewee.

Let's welcome, marya_makata as she will impart to us her answers about her journey in the field of writing🎉

Questions and Answers:

1. Of all the fields you'd be in, why did you choose writing?

-It is my passion. Writing is like eating food, sometimes I skip but I can't live long without it.

2. Tell us your username and what are the reasons behind it?

-My username is marya_makata, because my mom used to call me Marya when she's mad. Makata for a Filipina identity since I'm writing Tagalog romance novels.

3. What is your biggest dream of being a writer in the field of writing?

-Since I drafted my first story, my one and only goal is to be someone's favorite author.

4. Which genre is your forte? And why?

-Romance because I'm a big fan of pocketbook novels, I grew up idolizing authors in such genre.

5. Who/what inspires you to start writing and to continue writing?

-Jonaxx and her superb writing style is my inspiration.

6. When did you start writing?

-I started when I was eight, barely understanding the words. Let's say it came out naturally to the point that at a very young age I created my own version of myths and fables until it developed into writing novels.

7. How many stories have you written since you first realized you wanted to write?

-A thousand draft and seven completed (four of them are cliche and I can't drop it).

8. If someone throws destructive criticism at you, how will you handle it?

-I've been through so much in life and I think I'm too precious to give them a d-mn. I mean, I'm writing because I want to let the sweet little demons in my head breathe, I'm not writing to please anyone because I owe them literally nothing. Life must go on, after all 'at least mahal ako ni mama' LOL.

9. What can you promise yourself while you're in the field of writing?

-I will never stop creating my own masterpiece until I became someone's favorite author.
