Good day to all readers, We Matt Jorell S. Caparas and Alvin Joseph O. Recalde, Civil Engineering proud students of Mapua University, are here to share our advocacy about Gender equality and all gender identities. This issue has been around for a long time. Now we have built different stereotypes in each different gender identities wherein it can change by understanding, respecting, being empathetic, and fair.

Gender inequality has become a significant concern in today's culture. Some cultures have traditionally preferred to give one gender power and authority, creating gender stereotypes that we eventually absorb and accept. Gender equality refers to the notion that men and women should be treated equally and have equal opportunities. Gender inequality affects everyone in some manner, regardless of gender identification. People of all ages and ethnicities are affected. The harsh treatment that Qu**rs, G**s, and Le***an receive in their work limits their job opportunities and promotional chances. Being part of the LGBTQ doesn't mean you're from a different world. They're still humans, nothing changed from them apart from their sexual preference and gender identity and they deserve treatment like human beings that can have promotions and compliments and be free to choose what they want.

Let us give voice to women and the LGBTQ community and stop the unfair treatment, discrimination and the stereotypes we have placed in each gender identity to create a more toxicless and free community. We may not completely stop the discrimination but we can work to minimize it as much as possible.

Facts: 15 percent to 43 percent of gay and transgender workers have experienced some form of discrimination on the job.
