We had a great time exploring Valencia's Central Market, savoring the fresh produce and local delights. Then, at a paella cooking class with a local chef, we learned to make the iconic dish, immersing myself in Valencia's rich culinary and cultural heritage.

Valencia is the motherland of Paella😋

Spanish churros are golden fried dough sticks, paired with luscious dark, milk, white, and caramel chocolate dips.

During the New Year, serving round treats is traditional. I baked Snowballs - my round shortbread cookies with cashews, dusted with powdered sugar.

Receiving Tita Salud De Castro's iconic Coffee Roll brings me great joy. Yay!

In 1977, she was my first baking and cooking teacher in Loyola Heights. As a 3rd-year high school student at Maryknoll, I was awestruck by her teachings. I learned that using premium ingredients and cooking with love makes an awesome dish.

This Christmas, 46 years later, tasting this iconic coffee roll brings back cherished memories. I will continue to bake and cook with love, inspired by Tita Salud and my late Mommy Tessie Cuevas. Merry Christmas, Tita Salud!
