A RESIDENTIAL CONTAINER HOUSE PROJECT — Alakay House Model

This project will soon to rise in a high end resort residences in Davao City — Villa Josefina. All ideas credited to the owner of the house Mrs. A. Keller.

This is a great testimony that even the core of the house are Prefab Container modules, it doesn’t mean it should look like an industrial one.

To give a little story about this project, the client came from the states and would like to put up a very cozy comfortable house for her mother and father by December of 2020.

Knowing that conventional construction practices here in the Philippines can take too long to finish (more than 6 months), are prone to Earthquakes, Fires, and Termites and can cost them almost ₱5 Million for the same design and finish to build, and are costly to maintain... so she opted for Prefab Container house concept as she already had have previous experiences with Container houses abroad and entrust us her ideas for construction of this project.

This will be the first house in Villa Josefina Subdivision to be constructed using Prefab Container House as base and the client named her house as “ALAKAY”.

So, what does the name “ALAKAY” means?...

A submission from North Dakota, U.S. says the name Alakay means "Mighty Lion" and is of African origin. A user from New York, U.S. says the name Alakay is of African origin and means "Mighty lion". A user from Mississippi, U.S. says the name Alakay is of African origin and means "Mighty Lion".
