Re-learning my first love: Banduria
Ano nga ba ang banduria?
Marami siguro ang hindi nakaka-alam sa instrumentong ito. Kaya story time muna tayo.
Ang banduria ay isang traditional instrument na inintroduce ng mga Spaniards mahigit na 400 taon na ang nakakalipas. Ito ay isang 14-string chordophone na kabilang sa Philippine Rondalla. Ang mga instruments na tinutugtog sa Philippine Rondalla ay ang Banduria, Octavina, Laud, Guitar, at Bass. Ito ang “boses” ng Philippine Rondalla. Kumbaga sa choir, ito ang Soprano. O kaya kung ikukumpara sa orchestra, ito ang first violin.
Standard tuning: G-D-A-E-B-F #
Teka 14 strings siya pero bakit 6 notes lang ang standard tuning?
Ganito kasi yan. Kada note meron siyang group of strings:
G - 3 strings
D - 3 strings
A - 3 strings
E - 2 strings
B - 2 strings
F # - 1 string

Total: 14 strings
Dito nagsimula lahat, ang pagmamahal ko sa music. Dahil sa Banduria. Una kong natutunan to, Grade 3 ako nun. Sumali ako sa “Banduria Club” nung grade school at dun na nagtuloy-tuloy. Hanggang sa natutunan ko na rin mag-gitara at mag-ukulele. Hanggang sa na-discover ko na rin yung talent ko sa pagsusulat ng kanta. (Haha share ko lang)
Anyway, since ang dami ko na namang time dahil sa ECQ part 2 na to (woohoo galing niyo po IATF 🙌🏻 baka bumaba yung cases sa pag lockdown ulit kahit wala pa ring konkretong solusyon yung gobyernong eto para sa pandemya ano po? 😆), ayan practice practice muna ako.
