BAKIT 'ATIN'?

Ang salitang 'atin' ay panghalip panao na nagpapahiwatig ng pagmamay-ari sa isang bagay na pinagsasaluhan ng higit sa isang tao. Ang konsepto ng 'atin' bilang tema ng mga magsisipagtapos mula sa Kolehiyo ng Agham at Sining ngayong Akademikong Taon 2023-2024 ay nagmula sa adhikaing ipahayag ang paninindigan at paggiit na ipaglaban ang pag-aari ng sambayanang Pilipino laban sa mga mapanakop na mga dayuhan.

Sa kabilang banda, ang 'atin' ay madalas ginagamit din sa pag-anyaya upang kumilos. Ang paggamit ng 'Atin nang...' bilang panimula at karugtong ng pandiwa, ay nagpapakita ng masidhing panawagan para sa isang kolektibong gawain tungo sa ikabubuti ng nakararami.

At panghuli, ang salitang 'atin' ay sumasalamin na ang karunungan, kaalaman, at kahusayan na nalinang sa loob ng unibersidad ay hindi dapat sarilinin. Ang paggamit ng ‘atin’ sa halip na ‘akin’ o ‘amin’ ay isang paghihimok na ang mga ito ay dapat ibahagi sa mga mamamayan sa pamamagitan ng pagsisilbi sa kapwa nang may dangal at husay.

The application for the Associate in Arts (Sports Studies) program for the First Semester of AY 2024-2025 is now open!

The Associate in Arts (Sports Studies), or AASS, is a two-year program consisting of 78 units that aims to train and develop young athletes to become skilled professionals. Graduates of AASS can pursue various career paths, such as sports and fitness trainers, assistants to coaches in professional teams, referees, and umpires in sports tournaments. They can also pursue baccalaureate degrees in related disciplines if they wish to further their education. The program is designed to provide an opportunity for students to pursue an athletic career while completing their studies.
