Guidelines for the 2023 Alumni Homecoming Mardi Gras Street Dance Competition:

1. Theme and Performance:

Each participating group must adhere to the Mardi Gras theme, incorporating traditional or contemporary elements into their performance.

Performances should be energetic, vibrant, and engaging, with a strong focus on dance, music, and entertainment.

2. Participants:

Open to all alumni batches

Groups can consist of a minimum of 5 and a maximum of 25 members, all belonging to the same batch.
3. Music and Choreography:

Groups should prepare a dance routine of 4 oto 7minutes.
Choreography should be original, creative, and aligned with the Mardi Gras theme.
Music selection should complement the performance and energize the audience.

4. Costumes and Props:

Participants are required to wear costumes that match the Mardi Gras theme and enhance the overall performance.
The use of props is allowed, but they should not be hazardous or obstructive to other performers.

5. Judging Criteria:

Choreography and Creativity: 30 points
Synchronization and Timing: 25 points
Costume and Theme Adherence: 20 points
Audience Engagement and Entertainment Value: 15 points
Overall Performance and Ex*****on: 10 points
6. Judges:

A panel of three to five judges with expertise in dance, performing arts, or related fields will evaluate the performances.
Judges' decisions are final and not subject to appeal.

7. Prizes:

Prizes will be awarded to the top three performing groups based on their cumulative scores.
Prizes can include trophies, certificates, and potentially monetary rewards or sponsored gifts.
Safety and Etiquette:

Safety of participants and spectators is paramount. Performers should avoid risky moves that could lead to accidents.
Respectful behavior and sportsmanship are expected from all participants.

Grand Alumni Parade starts at 3:30pm.

Hosted by the class of 1998, the event is sure to be a day of reconnecting, reminiscing, and enjoying the camaraderie of old friends and classmates.

The venue for the 19th Grand Alumni Homecoming of DNHS is the Dulag Central School's open ground, which will be the perfect backdrop for face-to-face activities. A tent will be provided to ensure everyone’s comfort and safety. Tents for batches 1950's-1960's will be provided by the host batch. Each batch is requested to provide their own tables and chairs.

Registration will be open at 1:00pm.
Don’t forget to use the hashtag when sharing your stories and photos from the event.

The DNHS Batch 1998 is set to organize the alumni homecoming 2023 by having its second GENERAL ASSEMBLY meeting on July 23, 2003 at 1:00 pm at the DNHS Social Hall, Kempis St., Dulag, Leyte.

More so, we are calling the attention and participation of all Alumni Batch Reps, Officers, Golden and Silver Jubilarians as important matters relative to the conduct of the 2023 Alumni Homecoming shall be discussed.

We would highly appreciate if you share this post and mention or tag your batch representative so that we could reach more alumni.

Let's start off with a blast of colors! Show your school spirit with your custom-designed t-shirts. We've got you covered with our easy-to-follow guide:

1. Each batch is responsible to design and print their own t-shirts.
2. The t-shirt color is based on the assigned color (per decade).
3. Each batch is free to choose the t-shirt fabric and style.

The Dulag National High School on its 76th Founding Anniversary will be having our 18th Grand Alumni Homecoming on September 9, 2023 with the theme DAYÓN Dulaghaynon! DNHS welcomes you back home.” During this celebration we also honor the Class of 1973 for celebrating their Golden Jubilee Anniversary (50 years), to be hosted by the Silver Jubilarians Batch 1998.
