The macarons, as you see, were colorful, nicely uniform in size which makes them delightful even before eating. The cookies retained their soft, melt-in-the-mouth meringue goodness and the fillings were generous! There are many choices of flavors too, so I plan to eat them in three batches 😋 with tea or coffee but this time together with apple, cinnamon, and raisin tea.

Christmas, anyone? 🎄

Even with this pandemic, I’m feeling the Christmas “rush”. Not complaining though. Just saying. Grateful for the blessing of work even with challenges to hurdle. And these Christmas treats are the icing on top of these blessings. Simple, delightful pleasures. 🥰 I was never a fan but these changed my tastebuds’ regard for macarons. And isn’t this Christmas Tree glass cup just adorable? Mmmmmmm 🥰 Giving me a nice, fuzzy feeling like snuggling in your favorite fleece blanket on a cool afternoon. ❄️☃️ Wishful thinking : while staring out the window with snowflakes falling. Hahaha!

Now back to work... 😂

This is the Best tasting macarons in the Philippines. I told Janelle Toh “I’ll eat it this weekend pa” but ...it didn’t even last 3 days. I Mitch and my kids, Hulaan sila ano ang flavor.

The Texture is the right chewiness and the filling is very smooth whatever flavor.. and really for me, a great macaron is when you actually get to guess the flavor simply by taste and not by picture.

To add.. Mitch said.. Mas Masarap pa ito.. kaysa ning inuwi mo sa France.. ayy wow!

(Janelle is one of the most talented but very low key Pastry Chefs in our country. She has been trained by chef Niklesh Sharma and the APCA Malaysia. She will compete for our country at the next Asian Pastry Cup with the entire PAP (Pastry Alliance of the Philippines team)
