PNG POST
Papua New Guinea's weekly news review and admiration fantasy page
With Sylvia Pascoe Official β I just got recognized as one of their rising fans! π
GAME ON!
Good morning PNG, few hours ago, I received news that 18 MPs including 5 Ministers left Government to join up with opposition. And I want to ask all PNGeans to respect leaders as they make their choice and ply their trade.
Leaders are elected by their people and they have their rights to associate with leaders of like minds.
As others moved, I received call from 41 Pangu MPs, and all our coalition party leaders and members indicating their support. Pangu had built up numbers up to 59 from 39 we won in the 2022 NGE.
I was extremely privileged that 97 MPs voted for me to be PM again in August 2022. And since then we have always had a very big government with many different interests. In some way this is blessing in disguise for me that some of the excess fat in government is trimmed so that we can have a lean and coherent government.
I thank those who were part of my government and appreciated their support for me until their departure on their own accord and I wish them well.
This a play for vote of no confidence, and I know they are joining the opposition that has Hon Allan Bird as their nominee so I wish them well to assemble an alternative team and policy series that hopefully can do better for PNG then my Pangu and coalition team.
On 30th of May 2024, I will compare statistics of economy, education, health , infrastructure and law /justice sectors and the nation can know what we have done in the last 5 hard years.
If someone who can do the job better then me ascends , then I shall be content!
May Godβs will be done for our country and I ask all our people to treat all leaders kindly as they process their thoughts on national leadership and national interests.

Mam D' & 'Mr. Advisor' Rock DWU in Madang
This is a recording of a recent live performance by two great Madang, if not Papua New Guinea's music icons; Demas Saul and Gedix Atege.
It is a beautiful acoustic rendition of a few of their great songs - some of which rocked the airwaves decades ago.
Music is a best tool to bring people together

He is Late JOHN KAMB.
Former two terms MP for Kerowagi district in Simbu province.
1. He bought Kerowagi Mobile Force to Kerowagi
2. He brought Don Bosco Technical School
3. He sealed all roads around Kerowagi and Barawaghi
4. He brought a Filipino to install a huge Southern Cross tank to supply water for the entire Kerowagi and Barawagi which they still use to this day.
5. He established a new High School and several secondary schools.
6. He built a coffee factory, managed by the District. All proceeds have been used to help in fixing community's problems including compensation, Brideprice, funeral expenses, school fees, etc.
7. He built a shelter and kitchen inside his Port Moresby yard to feed and accommodate anyone from the district who is stranded in the city regardless of political affiliations.
8. He never used expensive hotels nor hire cars in his entire political life.
9. He was super humble with no expensive cars, wore shorts and t-shirts during his non-work time and spent time with people listening to their worries.
10. There is so much that I can't mention here. Listening to his story of the mega projects he completed using just K500 000 annual DSIP and seeing today's MPs receiving K10 million to K20 million every year makes one wonder what kind of leaders we have today ππ΅π¬
