These two personalities gave life to the flow of the program yesterday!

Sir Allan Villanueva who hosted Gensan Pop Idol for years and Sir Jerome Pabale who also have previously hosted the event in different seasons of the competition, made the competition far more interesting!

111 Auditionees narrowed down to 35 individuals battling yesterday sa Semi-finals!

Only 11 people made it to the grand finals! These are the finalists with the 3 judges and the chairman of the organizing group.

The audition was long fought but it's safe to say that Gensan still has it! The amazing amount of talents that rose above other competitors is reassuring for the future of our music program.

As mandated by YADO and SK, all registered participants must comply or you will not be able to participate sa auditions.

Send your hard copy of the SK Certification to YADO and send a picture of that certification to our page.

This is to ensure that you are from General Santos City.

The live audition is on April 16, 2021
Please note that instead of our initial time announcement
of 1 PM, we are now moving it as early as 9 AM in the morning.

This is due to the overwhelming number of registrants so
we need to start earlier on that day.

The event will be at Veranza Mall of Gensan Activity Center
Please make sure you bring your CCTS or QR Code to enter
the building. Wear a facemask and a face shield.

If you haven't sent your birth certificate yet, please bring a photocopy on the day of the audition. No birth certificate, no audition policy.

Please also send your music or backing tracks ahead of time.
DO NOT send them directly to our page.

You will have to upload it on a google drive folder and send us the link to that folder with a permission for us to download the files.

If you do not know how to do it, there are a ton of free youtube
tutorials. It will be a hassle for us organizers to individually
download your file if you send it via messenger

If you fail to comply with these procedures, we will not honor your music.

Note:
The participants must be fully aware that the Organizing Committee can make supplementary guideline/s to ensure smooth processes of the competition even without prior notice to the concerned-participant/s, this shall be done only if deemed necessary.

Things to Remember for Walk-in Registrants

1. Must be a resident of General Santos City

2. Will have to wait until those who have registered first are done with their audition.

3. You will automatically fill an empty slot in the instance that a registered contestant withdraws his/her entry.

𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐌𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐬
The competition is open ONLY to all General Santos City residents ages 13 to 25 years old

Participants are required to present a photocopy of their birth certificate and a recent ID picture

There will be three stages of the competition.

Live Auditions - April 16, 2021 Veranza Mall of GenSan
Semifinal - April 21, 2021 Veranza Mall of Gensan
Grand Finals - May 05, 2021 Veranza Mall of Gensan

During the live auditions, the judges will choose any number of participants they deem worthy to go through the semi-finals

Participants will have to prepare a list of 5 songs for the live audition. Can be acapella or with accompaniment.

Accompaniment tracks should be submitted before the day of the audition

Walk-in participants are welcome to join and register during the live auditions.

A performer will sing their preferred entry but the judges may have to ask them to perform another song. Hence, the list of 5 songs for the audition.

Only 10 participants will make it to the Grand Finals

All finalists will have to submit their playlist in time for the band to rehearse and accompany them during the grand finals.

During the Grand Finals, there will be two rounds for the competition. The first round will be to select the top 3 performers.

The top 3 performers will then have their scores reset and battle it out for another round to determine who will be the Grand Winner.
