Taken a snap w/My 30+ Esl Student. She says that she's glad she found me on fb Talk English/Tagalog with Teacher Mitzi's "Tutorial Services" and that she did try to book a lesson with the other English teachers but, they rejected her simply because they just wanted to teach Kids and not Adults. Why Challenge Yourself in Writing a Paragraph at least 5 Mins in a day?

Lets discuss:

✍️📝Writing an effective paragraph is an important factor for effective communication
Whether in an academic setting or in professional writing, the ability to organize thoughts and present them accurately and coherently plays an important role in communicating ideas and conveying messages.
Effective paragraphs not only improve reader understanding but also make writing more engaging.
Therefore, understanding the importance of writing a paragraph effectively is fundamental for anyone who wants to be good at their writing skills.

🔷 Firstly, writing an effective paragraph helps convey ideas and information clearly and coherently
▶️ By organizing thoughts and presenting them in a logical sequence, a well-structured paragraph guides the reader toward the writer's point of view. This ensures that the message being conveyed is clearly understood
✖️When thoughts are scattered throughout a paragraph or lack logical organization, it will be difficult for readers to follow the author's main argument or thesis.

'Ceasefire' a Micro Story' written by Teacher Mitzi

I woke up to the sound of a raging fire. I surveyed the ceiling and walls, and spotted a vivid orange glow emanating from the kitchen. I entered the kitchen and found the hob on fire, which had set the pan ablaze. Terrified, I yelled to my mother that we had to vacate the house without delay. I swiftly seized my Nokia mobile and contemplated whether to take the VCD player too. How silly of me. Meanwhile, my mother hurried to the kitchen, grabbed the pan off the hob, set it in the sink, and turned on the tap. Water flowed out immediately. With a sigh of relief. The fire was finally extinguished, I thank the Lord for that momentous day. It was truly a blessing, and favor from the Lord Jesus. I thanked my mother for her courage and bravery. This experience has taught me that life is truly unpredictable. We have to live our lives as if it were our last, cherish and love our family, spend more time with them whenever we can.

📖 Rashid was awoken at 4 am by a telephone call from his closest companion, who sounded incredibly excited. He hastily got out of bed, took a quick shower, dressed himself in his best suit, and drove to the city centre to meet his friend at 'Moon La Belle Cafe'. His friend was already seated, typing on his laptop. He strode over and greeted him with a friendly "Hello." His friend replied, saying "It's great to see you, Rashid." With happiness shining in her eyes, Rashid sits beside her as they catch up on each other's lives. He hastily got out of bed, took a quick shower, dressed himself in his best suit, and drove to the city centre to meet his friend at 'Moon La Belle Cafe'. His friend was already seated, typing on his laptop. He strode over and greeted him with a friendly "Hello." His friend replied, saying "It's great to see you, Rashid." 👉Why learn Collocations?👈

🖊️A collocation is two or more words that frequently appear together, such as hard labour or error. The more collocations you utilise, the more "right" or "natural" your English will sound to native speakers.

Examples of Collocations, and their forms ;

"Aches and pains" (Noun + Noun)
mild pains that come and go, esp. from physical work or old age
I.e : She's complaining about her aches and pains

"Achieve a goal"(Verb + Noun)
to do what you'd planned or hoped to do
I.e : To achieve a goal you must stay focus at all times

"Act suspiciously" (Verb + Adverb)
To behave in a way that makes people suspicious
I.e : When you act suspiciously; people will notice it.

It's as if somehow embedded in your subconscious mind,(think of it as a repetitive drill), until you realize that eventually you started speaking your native language!
