Founder of Minority Textiles- Itneg ILLAUD Heritage Textile. (Itneg ILLAUD Cultural Community of Balabal Abra cultural community producing Hand Woven textiles, Woven textiles Clothes with Traditional Arts hand embroidery, Philippine Natural Dye powder, Natural dyeing Skills Training) Producers of Natural Dye DOST assisted.

Local Coordinator for the School of Living Tradition (SLT) Itneg ILLAUD Balabal Abra. SLT is recognized by UNESCO. SLT is (NCCA) National Commission for Culture and the Arts assisted.

Advocate in Conserving and Safeguarding Intangible Cultural Heritage of the Itneg ILLAUD Cultural Community of Balabal indigenous knowledge of Indigo Natural Dye.

The use of the Tayum Tayum plant as a Natural Dye.
Tayum obtained its name from the indigo plant which was commonly known to the Ilocanos as Tayum-Tayum. History of Indigo thrives in Tayum, becoming a source of affluence for the Tayumenians. This cultural history of the town deserved a revival of the geriatric tradition that had been long forgotten.

Workshop Methodology :

Mr. Luis Agaid Jr. Will share the history and processes of using different herbs, roots, and shrubs to produce a natural coloring powder and paste the " Natural Dye Indigo".

Introduction to the Traditional Technique DOST PTRI Dyeing Process.

Hands-on preparation, fermentation, and dyeing with flagship dialogue on the 2 types of indigo the Indigofera Tinctoria and Indigofera Suffrosticosa Tinctoria.

Application Tie -Dye Shirt and Screen Printing.

To include Painting on Canvas using natural dye pigment. With special participation -art immersion on the spot painting with Contemporary Visual Artist Robert Besana (Grand-Winner of Vision Petron National Student Art Competition 2001)

The School of Living Tradition is located in the Itneg Illaud Cultural Community of Balabal-Namarabar, PeƱarrubia, Abra, Philippines training the community people and tourists to process and use natural dye, the production process of indigo natural dye, and the propagation of the said plant.
