IATF DISALLOWS DOMESTIC LEISURE TRAVEL FROM MARCH 22 TO APRIL 4

The Inter-Agency Task Force against infectious diseases (IATF) has temporarily suspended tourist/leisure between Metro Manila and domestic points in the Philippines.

As such, passengers traveling for leisure will not be allowed on PAL domestic flights to/from Manila from March 22 to April 4.

Leisure travelers affected by these restrictions have the following options:

1. Convert your ticket to a travel voucher with 10% bonus and valid for up to 2 years, which must be requested on or before June 30, 2021.

2. Avail of unlimited rebooking (no rebooking fee) until December 31, 2021. If you will be completing your travel in the same booking class by June 30, 2021 (or ticket validity, whichever comes first), there will be no fare difference charge.

3. Refund your ticket without penalties.

If you are already in a domestic destination and wish to return home, you may do so during this period.

If you are an ROF LSI or APOR, PAL will accept you on flights, provided that you secure all requirements by your LGU. If you wish to make changes to your booking voluntarily, you may do so following the No-Worry Flight Fare rules at https://bit.ly/PALPassengerOptions

PAL TO CARRY ONLY 'ESSENTIAL' TRAVELERS BETWEEN MANILA and DOMESTIC STATIONS

In line with the latest resolution of the Inter-Agency Task Force on the Management of Infectious Diseases (IATF) allowing only essential travelers in and out of the National Capital Region from March 22 to April 4, Philippine Airlines will only carry passengers traveling for non-leisure purposes between Manila and domestic stations within the said period.

Domestic leisure travelers affected by these restrictions may avail of any of the following options:
1. Convert your ticket to a Travel Voucher (request until June 30, 2021)
2. Avail of unlimited rebooking (no rebooking fee) until December 31, 2021. If you will be completing your travel in the same booking class by June 30, 2021 (or ticket validity, whichever comes first), there will be no fare difference charge.

If you are a leisure traveler already in a domestic destination and wish to return home, PAL will endeavor to operate flights to Manila to accommodate returning leisure travelers.

If you are a Returning Overseas Filipino (ROF), Locally Stranded Individual (LSI) or Authorized Person Outside of Residence (APOR), PAL will continue to accept you on flights, provided that you secure all requirements by your Local Government Unit (LGU).

PAL Resumes Flights to Saudi Arabia

Philippine Airlines resumes flights to Saudi Arabia - effective from today January 4, 2021 and onwards - after the KSA government lifted its suspension on international flights.

A non-Saudi citizen from any of the flagged countries (where the covid variant exists) traveling to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia must spend no less than 14 days outside the said country BEFORE entering KSA.

Upon arrival, all non - Saudis must submit a negative RT-PCR test from an accredited laboratory in their home-countries. The said tests must have been carried out not later than 72 hours before departure for KSA. The RT-PCR test is limited to non-Saudis more than 8 years of age. A 7-day home quarantine must be carried out by non-Saudis after their arrival in KSA.

Travel of Saudi nationals and those allowed to enter for humanitarian and urgent cases from any of the flagged countries are exempted from the abovementioned requirements. However, they are required to undergo a 14-day home quarantine.

All other passengers (originating from non-flagged countries) must present on arrival in KSA a negative RT-PCR test carried out not later than 72 hours before departure for KSA. The RT-PCR test is limited to non-Saudis more than 8 years of age. A 7-day home quarantine follows.
