When you’re a confident person or you’re building your confidence, there are 4 kinds of people to avoid because they secretly can’t stand you. 1. The scaredy cat. Every time you bet on yourself, the scaredy cat resents you because they’re afraid to do the same. You’re like a ghost, haunting them with your ambitions, hopes, and dreams. 2. The wisher. They’re wishing that you fail. These people have a Masters in nitpicking and a PhD in haterology. Their job is to diminish you. They’re worried about how you confidently do what you do best, because they haven’t even figured out what they do best. 3. The competitor. Instead of competing with themselves? They compete with you. Directly or indirectly. It doesn’t matter if they have more money, power, or respect than you. They still see you as a threat…because you don’t see them as a threat. 4. The mistake maker. This kind of person is full of regrets because they keep making bad choices. And unfortunately, you remind them of those regrets every time you make the right choice. They don’t realize that you built your confidence from making mistakes and correcting them. Bottom line? Insecurity is the one thing those kinds of people have in common. Surround yourself with other confident people or people who are working on their confidence. Because when people have their own confidence, they won’t be interested in hijacking yours. Confidence does not mean you think you’re better than everyone else. Confidence means that you’re better than the last version of you.
