On this day, August 26, 2024, we honor the efforts and sacrifices of our nation’s heroes, both past and present. We remember those who bravely fought for our independence and helped shape the country into what it is today.

We also extend our salutations to our modern-day heroes—our health workers, overseas Filipino workers (OFWs), public servants, and front-liners who have tirelessly worked to improve the quality of life for all Filipinos.

As we celebrate this important day, let us be reminded that heroism isn’t solely about sacrificing one’s life; it’s about having the courage to do what is right for the greater good. Just like our historical and present-day heroes, each of us has the potential to be a hero in our own way.

On August 17, 2024, we came together for a successful tree planting activity in Don Benito, Pozorrubio, Pangasinan! With the enthusiastic support of our dedicated volunteers, local youth, and barangay and SK officials, we planted hundreds of native tree saplings to help restore our environment and build a sustainable future. 🌳

This initiative is part of our Linggo ng Kabataan 2024 celebration, organized by the Sangguniang Kabataan of Pozorrubio, with the theme "From Clicks to Progress: Youth Digital Pathways for Sustainable Development." Together, we're not just talking about change—we're actively taking steps to make it happen!

In the Last Day celebration of Linggo ng Kabataan 2024, Barangay Nama became the center of a meaningful community event focused on education and youth empowerment.

Millennials PH Pangasinan, in partnership with the Sangguniang Kabataan of Pozorrubio, the Local Youth Development Council, Kiwanis Club of San Carlos City, and the Supreme Student Government (SSLG) of Pozorrubio, organized the Abong ya Panaralan Project. This event provided essential school supplies to young students in the barangay.

This initiative is part of this year’s Linggo ng Kabataan theme, “𝗙𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗖𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗸𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀: 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗗𝗶𝗴𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗣𝗮𝘁𝗵𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗦𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁.” The theme emphasizes the important role of youth leaders in creating pathways for digital learning and supporting students as they prepare for the new school year.

The event not only helped students acquire the supplies they need for school but also brought together youth leaders and volunteers from different organizations, demonstrating the power of collaboration. Leaders from Millennials PH Pangasinan, SK Pozorrubio, Kiwanis Club, and SSLG Pozorrubio stressed the significance of making education accessible to every child, regardless of their socio-economic status.

The large turnout from both the community and volunteers showcased a shared commitment to empowering students and promoting education. This event was a clear representation of the spirit of Linggo ng Kabataan, which encourages youth involvement in driving positive change within their communities while fostering a sense of responsibility towards the next generation.

This event was a platform for exploring how young people can utilize digital tools to create positive change in our communities. Through interactive activities and insightful discussions, we took the first step towards turning our digital presence into tangible outcomes.

Yesterday, August 12, 2024, Millennials PH Pangasinan in collaboration with the Sangguniang Kabataan of Pantal, hosted a heartwarming session of our Abong ya Panaralan Project and Distribution of School Supplies and books to our 250 Student Benificiaries in Doña Consuelo Elementary School, Barangay Pantal, Manaoag, Pangasinan! 📚✨

Our young participants immersed themselves in a world of stories through interactive storytelling, reading exercises, and engaging games designed to ignite their love for learning. The children's radiant smiles and excitement were a testament that learning can truly be a joyful experience!

We extend our sincere gratitude to the dedicated Sangguniang Kabataan of Pantal, led by SK Chairman Jyrus Sarmiento, as well as the volunteers and educators from Millennials PH Pangasinan, led by National Anti-poverty Commission YS Council Member Janwil Manansala, Inner Wheel Club of UpTown Dagupan and the entire teaching force of Doña Consuelo Elementary School for their invaluable contributions to the event's success. Nama, Pozorrubio, Pangasinan – August 18, 2024: In honor of Linggo ng Kabataan, Millennials PH Pangasinan is delighted to present the Abong ya Panaralan Project, a groundbreaking literacy initiative, in Nama, Pozorrubio. This event will not only promote literacy but also introduce an innovative environmental program, "𝗘𝗰𝗼-𝗘𝘅𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲: 𝗧𝘂𝗿𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗕𝗼𝘁𝘁𝗹𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗼 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗲𝘀".

The Abong ya Panaralan Project is dedicated to fostering a love for reading and continuous learning among the youth. Activities for the day include engaging reading sessions, interactive storytelling, and educational workshops, all aimed at enhancing literacy skills and instilling a passion for knowledge.

In conjunction with this literacy program, Millennials PH Pangasinan is launching the 𝗘𝗰𝗼-𝗘𝘅𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲 initiative. This program, which aligns with R.A. No. 9003 (Ecological Solid Waste Management Act of 2000), encourages participants to bring plastic bottles for recycling. In return, they will receive essential school supplies, merging the goals of education and environmental conservation.

Lastly, 𝗠𝗣𝗛 𝗣𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗻 is open to receiving donations and partnering with public and private sector groups that share a common interest, passion, and objective of nurturing and developing young minds to serve our country.
