Before, I thought I couldn't do it.
Thought there is something wrong with me, my ears or that maybe freediving isn't really for me. Thought of quitting a lot of times. Felt insecure for people around me were improving but I'm not.

Luckily I met this person who sees something in me that I don't. Trusted my skill, made me believe in myself, changed my overall mindset.

And tadaaaaaaa! First 13m in my one year of freediving! Akala ko awra awra na lang talaga ako e. 😂🤭

Here is my freediving story….

I am a non-swimmer and I have a fear of waves since I was 6.

I love travelling. I’ve been to a lot of beautiful beaches here in PH and “SEASIDE AWRA and PHOTOS” are enough for me. Until I decided to let go my fear and enter to a new world, “freediving”
At first I was hesitant since I don’t know how to swim, but as they say “no start being excellent”

But then I didn’t let my fear drown me and to limit
of the things that I am capable of. The beauty beneath the surface is far beyond want you can imagine.

I will keep on practicing/training and improving myself and I am excited to share with you how deep I can do.

Thanks to my friend, sarrah who ask me try and to start this journey, it took me a year before I did. But learning a new skill makes you a new person.

BEING UNDERWATER IS FREEDOM.

and this month holds a very important chapter of my life.

IT'S MY DIVERSARY! 💙

Kidding aside, as I celebrate my first year in freediving, I want to share my journey with you. (WARNING: Long post ahead!)

May 28,2022; the date I took my intro course to freediving.
and this question was asked, WHY FREEDIVING? my answer to this? 'COZ I LOVE TRAVELLING! and people in here who know me personally will definitely agree with this. I am a certified kaladkarin! I really love spending time outside with my friends. May it be hiking, camping, food trips, strolling everywhere and BEACHING!!!!!
and my greatest frustration? I DON'T KNOW HOW TO SWIM! I was a part of the team life vest and team pampang lamang.

Before, exploring the sea was just a dream. Just watching videos on my phone wishing it was me interacting with the sea creatures and enjoying the world under the sea.

Jump to year 2022, I came across videos of freediving. Sent it to my friends saying I wanna try it. Then, Mami Ems the mother of all kaladkarins introduced us to our very first diving school. Our intro course? It wasn't easy, especially since we are a bunch of non-swimmers who don't have any idea on how to swim nor to float. Cutting the story short, now I am a recreational freediver enjoying the peaceful, calm, colorful and magical world that the ocean offers.

And today, I am officially launching this page as my diving diary. How far will I go? Let us all know!

Join me in exploring the depths of the ocean! Will share you my stories and adventure underwater. 😉🧜‍♀️
