KDT is still Accepting Online Auditions for the 2nd batch of young talented students who aspires to join the new breed of young dancers, trainers, and choreographers until August 23, 2023.

AUDITION PROCESS
LEVEL 1: ONLINE SCREENING
LEVEL 2: FACE TO FACE AUDITION
LEVEL 2 PHASE 1: IMPROVISATION
LEVEL 2 PHASE 2: CHOREOGRAPHY PICK-UP
LEVEL 2 PHASE 3: DANCE CHOREOGRAPHY
LEVEL 3: INTERVIEW

Qualifications:

1. Must be a bonafide student enrolled at Aklan State University Ibajay Campus in the present academic year.
2. Experience in dancing and choreography is a plus.
3. Willing to be trained in any dance genre.
4. Willing to commit his/her time, effort and resources.
5. Committed, passionate, and dedicated in dance.

Mechanics:

LEVEL 1: ONLINE SCREENING
1. Prepare a minimum of 30 seconds to 1 minute dance performance.
2. Dance performance may be performed in any dance genre ex. Folkdance, Hiphop, Streetdance, Contemporary, Jazz etc.
3. Shoot your video with good lighting to be visually clear, preferably outdoor during the day.
4. Wear proper dance attire suited to your dance performance.
5. Submit your video in as high quality as possible, in MP4, MOV, AVI, FLV, or WMV formats
6. All submissions must be made using the form link provided.

LEVEL 2: FACE TO FACE AUDITION

A face to face audition will be conducted at ASU Ibajay Campus Function Hall 1:00-3:00 PM on August 3, 2023 with the auditionee undergoing 3 audition phases before moving on to the 3rd Level.

LEVEL 2 PHASE 1: IMPROVISATION

Dance improvisation (commonly known as improv) is the process of creating movement without pre-planning any steps or choreography. Qualifiers will be asked to explore new ways to move and the best part is there are absolutely no rules!

LEVEL 2 PHASE 2: CHOREOGRAPHY PICK-UP

Qualifiers will be tested how fast they are at remembering Dance Combination and Dance Phrase.

LEVEL 2 PHASE 3: DANCE CHOREOGRAPHY

Qualifiers will be asked to create their own choreography.

QUALIFIERS BRIEFER

1. Be punctual, come in advance or on time at the Audition venue.
2. Wear proper dance attire suited for the different dance genre expected to be performed.
3. Bring with you drinking water, extra clothes, towel and other essentials. See you then.
