We would like to express once again our sincere gratitude and appreciation to someone who has always been a great supporter of our school projects. On March 22, 2024, we received a donation with an amount of 17, 000 pesos from him. The amount was handed to us by ma'am Aprilyn G. Awingan, the retired principal of our school. School LAC session was conducted on Friday afternoon, February 16, 2024. Mrs. Laila Cawaing discussed about the Guidelines in Developing Instructional/Supplemental Reading Materials. It is a very timely topic since teachers are preparing interactive reading materials to be used during catch-up Fridays. The said LAC session was attended by the school head, the 6 teachers and the teacher applicant, Mr. Jonathan Cadiogan.

First day of the SCHOOL INSET

Lon-oy ES conducted the first day of In-Service Training for teachers on January 30, 2024. It was a very productive day attended by the members of the faculty and the teacher-applicant, Mr. Jonathan Cadiogan. The speakers were Mrs. Beverly A. Sadagan, the school head of the school who tackled about the COT rating sheet, Mrs. Kimberly Supanga who discussed about the PPST and Mrs. Laila Cawaing who explained what catch-up Friday is all about and how it will be conducted. Meanwhile, Mrs. Avelina B. Bening shared her strategy in teaching her learners different skills in numeracy through MATH-O through an actual game. It is an interesting game which other teachers may adopt or modify to enhance their learners' numerical skills. Many experiences were also shared to the group for brainstorming and learning.

Today, January 12, 2024, Lon-oy Elementary School participated in the launching of Catch Up Fridays through the implementation of DEAR ( Drop Everything and Read)
DEAR provides learners with the opportunity to engage in individual silent reading of their preffered reading materials.

Aside from participating in the nationwide tree planting activity of the DepEd, today, Lon-oy ES also carried out the school project, "Generating Rambutan Opportunities for Wealth and Tomorrow's Harvest," (G.R.O.W.T.H) with the goal of planting 100 trees of rambutan around the school for the purpose of generating income and food in the future.

Prince Joseph Supanga (board 1) and Khlint Rashid Cucuyao(board2) of Lon-oy ES bagged 1st place during the unit 3 battle of the mind competition held on November 24, 2023 at Lon-oy ES. Thus they will represent unit 3 (Lon-oy ES, Bayabas ES, Sisi ES and Nayba IS) on the upcoming district meet competition which will be held on November 30, 2023 at San Gabriel Central School.

Meanwhile, the sisters Rhean Joy Supanga(board 1) and Abilaine Supanga (board 2) placed 2nd on the said mind game.
