WHAT IS VA**NG?

Va**ng is the inhaling of an aerosol (mist) created by an electronic cigarette (e-cigarette) or other va**ng device.

E-ci******es (often called v**e pens) are battery-operated va**ng devices that heat a liquid until it becomes an aerosol (mist), which is inhaled. The aerosol is not just water v***r. It usually contains ni****ne, other harmful chemicals, and flavorings. Even e-ci******es that claim to have no ni****ne have been found to contain ni****ne. Some might contain ma*****na, herbs, or oils.

WHAT IS REPUBLICT ACT NO. 11900?
The Vaporized Ni****ne and Non-Ni****ne Products Regulation Act aims to protect public health by regulating the importation, sale, and use of v***rized ni****ne and non-ni****ne products in the Philippines, with measures to prevent sales to minors and promote a healthy environment.

DESIGNATED VA**NG AREAS

The use of VNNPs (Vaporized Ni****ne and Non-Ni****ne) is prohibited in public spaces such as schools and universities, enclosed spaces like elevators and stairwells, as well as buildings and premises of both public and private hospitals, medical, dental, and optical clinics, and other public areas where people congregate, such as churches, public transportation, conference halls, and restaurants.

The minimum age for the sale and purchase of VNNPs (Vaporized Ni****ne and Non-Ni****ne) should be at least 18 years old. Retailers are now required to request proof of age verification in both physical and online stores.
