2024 NATIONAL SCHOOLS PRESS CONFERENCE
Opening Program
July 8, 2024,
Carcar City, Cebu

Shukran.

We cannot afford to go to war against China for obvious reasons though we have proven many times in the past that we can fight to our last breath to protect what is ours.

The West Philippine Sea (South China sea) conflict at present that is escalating to an unwanted confrontation can be avoided if we are willing to sit down with China, Taiwan and other claimants on the territorial disputes in the South China sea. Diplomacy is not a sign of weakness.
All can be losers if war breaks out in this region.

To those who still believe that the United States of America will be there when the time comes, read these facts:

1. We were an American colony from 1898 to 1946, we were American subjects not citizens. Iba trato ng Amerikano sa atin during that period. (Google the difference).

2. In Dec 7, 1941 the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor in Hawaii, several hours later the Philippines was bombed by the Japanese because we are an American colony (not because we are the enemy, damay lng tayo). Gen. Douglas Macarthur declared Manila an Open City to avoid further destruction and devastation to the city upon the arrival and invasion of the Japanese imperial forces in the country in 1942 to start World War II. If we were not an American colony we could had been spared of the aerial bombings by the Japanese.

3. The Americans came back after 3 yrs as promised by General Douglas Macarthur with an estimated 300,000 Filipinos dead during their occupation including the family of Elpidio Quirino who later became President after the war.

4. That I shall return almost did not happen as Admiral Chester Nimitz suggested to bypass the Philippines and go directly to Formosa (present day Taiwan). The American call it Liberation of the Philippines but the Truth is they retook back their Empire from the Japanese.

5. The Americans gave the Philippines independence in July 4, 1946 amids so much destruction of our country because of their war and the Philippines has nothing to do with it.

6. The same year, In 1946, the US Congress passed the Rescission Act, stripping Filipinos of the benefits they were promised, replacing the estimated $3 billion in benefits with a single $200 million direct payment to the Philippine government. We fought, bled and died with the Americans in WW2. Of the 66 countries allied with the US, only Filipinos were denied pension and benefits. Nga-nga mga beterano natin.

7. The WAR DAMAGE BILL for the Philippines was signed by President John F. Kennedy on Aug 1962, witnessed by President Diosdado Macapagal’s brother in law, Sen. Rogelio dela Rosa at the White House, 17 yrs after WW2. The Americans helped the Japanese (their enemy) more than us (their ally) during the war.

8. Present day. Japanese (their former enemy) can go to the US without visa, while us (their ally and former colony) we need visa to go to the US.

You can check all these facts in the internet or history books, hindi Imbento yAn.

We were made to believe that the US will take care of us in times of crisis, they even call us little brown brothers to complete the fantasy of alliance.

PAHAYAG
February 1, 2024

Sara Z. Duterte
Vice President of the Philippines
Secretary of the Department of Education

β€œIT IS NOW OR NEVER!” Davao City Councilor and Sara All co-convenor Danny Dayanghirang on Tuesday night pens a letter to all supporters of Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte on social media as he shares an emotional β€œlong talk” he had with the First Daughter after she withdrew from the mayoralty race. Read his letter here:

To all our Sara All allies,

Just this pm I had a long talk with the Mayor after withdrawing her candidacy for mayor in our city which logically will make her free to run for the highest position. What she told me, she is really in the middle of the storm right now. It was a little bit emotional meeting when all the the staff were requested to leave the room. I shared all my thoughts to her and vice versa. What I learned in that conversation was like her father, she is willing to sacrifice and serve the Filipino people.

With all your unanswered queries, all from our Sara All Volunteers here and abroad believe that PRESIDENCY is for her no more no less and it is now or never! Once everything is settled following the days of Nov. 15, 2021, we shall resume in full our consensus building through virtual meets and strategize our campaign targets. Of course subject as always to our principal'd guidance - the iron lady of the south with a golden heart, our future President Sara Duterte.

For now, the countdown is as bright as the sun like today God began granting our prayers for our country and for our children and the generations to come. I hold on to "let a thousand flowers bloom" concept operating within the context of healing, unity of command regardless of political colors and sharing the same vision for the Philippines. And for all that she can be, you will be surprised that she will be our healing President for our country has already suffered a lot from political divisiveness. She wants to see a united Philippines!

To all of us the Filipino people and volunteers with different degrees of participation in advocacy work to make her run , congratulations! This is the victory we hoped for and this is just the beginning of our connections and reconnections! Sara All!

This was last Thursday in Palawan for the NTF/RTF ELCAC event there.

I am always happy to see the President. This time though, my heart hurt to see how tired he was as he walked into the WesCom covered court where the event took place.

It was past 7 pm when he finally arrived but before that he had a full day’s work. And when this event was over, he was still going to have a series of engagements.

When covering the President, we at the PCOO like to present him as strong and formidable.

But I want you to see this.

I want you to see how tired he gets that he closes his eyes for a spell and takes deep breaths.

I want you to see that, after all’s been said and done, this President was nothing more than an ordinary human tasked by Destiny to do the extraordinary: fix a country deeply damaged by oligarchs, communist terrorist, drug lords, foreign overlords, his predecessors- among others.

And that he did all he could, gave all he could in accomplishing what it was he set out to do when he first sat in office- to right the numerous wrongs and to give every Filipino a comfortable life.

And then most of all, I want you to see how much he loves us.

What else do we call it when we get out of our comfort zones and transgress boundaries to give our best to the other? Love, nothing else.

So I hope you see what I see when you look at this photo.

A President deeply, wildly, truly in love with the Filipino people.

He will, as he has promised, fight for us till his last day in office.

Take this memory of our President with you and remember what it was like to be truly loved by a REAL President.

And never settle for less.

LOOK: BASECO Beach then and now

Much has been said about the efforts of DENR in improving the Manila Baywalk area along Roxas Boulevard in Manila. But the agency, through its regional office, has also been doing wonders in improving BASECO Beach at Barangay 649, Port Area, Manila.

Once notorious for its trash-strewn shorelines, the situation in BASECO has now greatly improved. Its sands are now visible and its waters slowly coming back to life as testified by the increasing fish catch of small fishermen in the area.

Regional Executive Director Jacqueline A. Caancan, however, is quick to clarify that the success of cleanup efforts in BASECO is not the sole doing of DENR National Capital Region.

β€œWe have to give credit to whom it's due”, RED Caancan said. β€œOur cleanup and rehabilitation activities here are the result of the synergy between and among the Mandamus agencies, most notably the MMDA and the Philippine Coast Guard (who even set up satellite outposts in the beach area), the city government of Manila, and other partner agencies”.
