STRANDS OF LOVE – A Hair Donation Campaign
University of Bohol partners with Alturas Group of Companies to help Cancer patients.
An initiative of the University of Bohol in partnership with the Alturas Group of companies - Strands of Love aims to help cancer patients by donating strands of hair. The donated hairs will be made into wigs which will then be given to those experiencing hair loss due to treatment.
Strands of Love will be launched today, August 30, 2024 during the UB Himamat General Assembly of Students at the University of Bohol Paraiso.
Two donation dates are prepared for this event with the first drive to be held on September 8, 2024 at the Island City Mall Activity Center and the second drive at the University of Bohol Activity Center on October 4, 2024.

1. LOYALTY AWARDEE SCHOLARSHIP
-Must be an incoming 1st Year College
-Have studied at the University of Bohol from Kinder 2 up to Grade 12 Senior High School (continuous / did not transfer to another school).
-Will enjoy a 24-unit discount (based on the lowest unit rate) for two regular semesters (excluding summer).
-Requirements:
a. Photocopy of Study Load
b. Photocopy of PSA Birth
c. Accomplished Residency Certificate Form (available at SEFO)
d. Photocopy of School I.D.
e. Accomplished Loyalty Discount Application Form

2. FRESHMAN ACADEMIC SCHOLARSHIP
-Must be an incoming Grade 7, Grade 11, and 1st Year College.
-Must belong to the Top 3 graduates of the whole batch.
-Requirements:
a. Certificate of Ranking / Merit
b. Photocopy of Study Load
c. Photocopy of PSA Birth
d. Accomplished Freshman Academic Scholarship Application Form (available at SEFO)
e. Photocopy of School I.D.
f. Recent 2 x 2 Picture with white background
g. Essay entitled “What this scholarship means to me”. (At least 500 words. Hand Written)
h. Photocopy of the report card.
DISCOUNTS:
Freshman Top 1 - 100% discount on tuition fee only.
Freshman Top 2 - 75% discount on tuition fee only.
Freshman Top 3 - 50% discount on tuition fee only.
SUBMISSION:
-Enclosed all requirements in a LONG BROWN ENVELOPE.
-For incoming Grade 7, submit your documents to the Junior High School Principal's Office.
-For incoming Grade 11, submit your documents to the Senior High School Principal's Office.
-For incoming 1st Year College, submit them to the Scholarship and Employment Facilitation Office and look for Ma’am Deza or Ma’am Ruby.
-Submissions with incomplete requirements will not be accepted.

Scholarship:
-12,000 Php discount on tuition fee per semester
Qualifications and Requirements for Application:
1. 2X2 picture
2. Have no FAILING grades in the preceding semesters/years
3. Have no UNCOMPLIED NG’S
4. Intermediate to Advanced skills and knowledge in
4.1 Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator
