I know some of you have watched the house tour of my home on YT & maybe you are wondering, kamusta na ba ang bahay namin?

So far so good.

Over the past months, we have had a lot of improvements like growing papaya, sili, okra and banana on the garden, adding a roof over my garage/carport and now, a multipurpose pavillion in the garden area.

But as much as I want to keep on sharing the upgrades I made to my house, can I share a deep realization after almost 2 years of staying here?

Before we moved in, we were renting in a small apartment within the same village. Me and my wife planned to stay there for the next 5 years, so that we have enough time to stabilize my real estate business and save enough money to build my family’s dream home but, God had different plans.

On the third year of renting, an unexpected call came, our landlord told us we needed to move out because they will use the unit.

Yes, we didn’t plan on having this home immediately. Our plan was to build our dream home this year 2023. But even though our plans were distrubed with that call from my Landlord, it turned out to be a blessing.

If we didn’t build this home, our house would have cost 30 to 40% more due to higher cost of materials.

If we didn’t push through, it could have been harder to move out the apartment after 5 years of staying there.

If we didn’t take the risk, we wouldn’t have had the security and stability that our house has given us.

What’s my point?

Like me, a lot of people are always looking for the perfect home. They want to check all the boxes but the reality is, there is no such thing as a perfect home. You have to build it through time.

This might be your budget at this time, improve on it through time.

This might be best available option right now, work on it through time.

This might be closest thing that fits your needs, make it perfect through time.

Our home is far from perfect but I know we will get there.

GAZEBO UPDATE

After over 2 weeks, our mini-home project is almost done.

I am so excited to have an additional area in my home where I can do a lot of things.

In fact, nagusap kami ni Bossing Wife yesterday that this shouldn’t be called a gazebo but a multipurpose pavillion.

Dito I can host parties. It can be my an outdoor office. It can be a homeschool area. Pwede din siya maging home gym.

Ang daming possibilities.

Totoo pa lang habang patagal ng patagal, ang dami mong gusto idagdag or ipagawa sa bahay mo. Magastos pero fulfilling kasi ikaw mismo ang makikinabang. Bye!

Assisting my OFW client from the Middle East.

It was his first time seeing the model unit and the site development. Nagusap lang kami sa zoom and constant communication on viber with his representative here in the PH.

The internet truly is a blessing for us in real estate. It allowed our kababayans abroad to check out and invest in properties from wherever they are.

It’s been almost 2 years since we moved into the house and a lot has changed.

We added a roof over the garage, made some repairs to the gate and we even have vegetables growing on the garden.

Now, we are about to finish new mini-project, a Gazebo.

That’s why we are here outside, trying to get a feel of what it would feel like once the gazebo is done.

I just wanted to give updates and share the small milestones we have achieved since we moved to the house.
