About the artwork:
In this modern age where technology is advancing constantly, we, the students are the prime recipients of its advantages, but at the same time also the victims of its disadvantages, and those are what my painting is trying to show. The blue side represents the disadvantages, while the other side is for the advantages.
The chain symbolizes ADDICTION. When students are on their phones, they tend to spend so much of their time on it like playing games that led to not eating on time, lack of physical activities due to frequent browsing the social media and the internet. They become so attached to their phones that they sometimes lose connection to the real world.
The red eye of the student symbolizes the effect of radiation due to long exposure to cellphone or computer screens. The green ribbon on the other hand symbolizes good mental health. Using the internet correctly and moderately will give so much benefits that may help improve life, make you students life easier, and further contribute to a brighter your future.
Internet is so helpful for the students because they can search anything on it, do research for their assignments, and gather data from the internet for their thesis. But many people abuse the internet. Some expert use it to hack someone else's computer and steal either money or crucial information.
Moreover, many people use internet to earn by selling their products and services online, find places through google maps, and some are even hired to work online. But many also access the internet negatively. Many young people now can visit p**n sites without the knowledge of their parents or guardians.
On the other hand, social media is also very helpful. Communication becomes much easier and more convenient. Through social media, we can send your greetings and accolades without any hassle. But some use these negatively. Some use social media to send hate messages, bad mouth other people, spread false information, or even blackmail other people.
Meanwhile, the black microchip/processor generally symbolizes technological advancements, without it, none of our gadgets will function
Using the internet and social media is not bad at all, in fact, they contribute a lot in making our lives easier. These technological advancements only become bad when used improperly.
Protect your mental health, use them positively.

Sir Riche O. Salimbot, our versatile dance art and MAPEH teacher, a multi-talented person, a humble one is awarded as

"NATATANGING G**O NG BAYAN- Special Program in the Arts- Dance-Secondary in the recent Gawad Dakilang Pilipino Awards 2023 National Search for Outstanding Cultural Educators and Implementers held at Gestdan Centrum, Baguio City.

They were 600+ in different categories.In "Natatanging G**o ng Bayan category, there were 368 nominations and applications but only 17 of them became the finalists- awardees from different region in the Philippines.Before gaining the said award, they must passed the three level of evaluations and nominations.For the information of everybody, sir Riche, was the only Kidapaweño and Cotabateño, awarded in the entire Philippines. They were six in the entire Region 12.

Indeed, the whole family of Kidapawan City NHS especially the Special Program in the Arts family is so proud of your achievements.Congratulations!Many were called but few were chosen.You are one of the few.God bless you more!🤗🤗🤗🥰🥰🥰
