Inangkin ni German pedalpusher Lucas Carstensen ang stage win, kasunod sina Irwandie Lakasek ng Indonesia at Thanawut Sanikwhathi ng host country.

Dahil tumapos sila na kabilang sa lead group, tumanggap ng 3 UCI points si Mendoza, habang isa ang napunta kay Felipe, na magagamit ng dalawa sa pagkopo ng pwesto sa Summer Olympics.

Bukas naman hahataw ang mga siklista sa 228-kilometer out and back race sa Phatthalung, at dito ay kapwa umaasa sina Mendoza at Felipe na mababawasan nila ang 10 second lead ng yellow jersey wearer na si Carstensen.
