A participant during one of my Culture Building sessions approached me today and told me that he got a tattoo of a Latin phrase I shared with them during my talk last month.

NON DESISTAS, NON EXIERIS.

It’s the Latin phrase on Luka Doncic’s signature Jordan shoes which means — NEVER GIVE UP, NEVER SURRENDER.

He got the tattoo the day after the talk. This is the first time a participant ever did this. He said that whenever he feels weak he simply looks at his arm to remind him to NEVER GIVE UP, NEVER SURRENDER.

Wow! This is probably the best “compliment” I’ve ever received as a speaker. Nakakataba ng puso❤️ Thank you Sir!🙏🏻 I love my job!🫶🏼

One of the things that I always think about when giving a talk or a workshop is how my participants will be able to sustain their excitement and apply most if not all of what they’ve learned during the talk. As a speaker, this is actually wishful thinking.

After workshops and seminars, participants are always in a high. But once they step out of the room and the busyness of life hits…they forget everything. It’s not their fault…it’s reality.

BUT NOT THIS GROUP, not The Herma Group. For the first time ever, I can confidently say that this batch of participants— BATCH 19, will be able to carry out what they have learned and experienced during the 2.5 days we were together. Proud of this group!

There will be challenges for sure, humps and bumps along the way but one thing is certain— NON DESISTAS. NON EXIERIS. Batch 19 and The Herma Group will…NEVER GIVE UP. NEVER SURRENDER.

Sometimes trying to solve a BIG problem will require you to solve A LOT of smaller problems first. Companies that want a change in CULTURE must be AWARE and should ACCEPT that it all must START by developing HABITS that will help you be the Company that you want to BECOME.

Getting to the top is always a challenge. It requires a lot of hard work, perseverance and grit. But one thing that a lot of us don't realize is that the REAL secret to success is making sure that we develop and implement the RIGHT HABITS.

Do you have the right habits to succeed?

I love what the new Head Coach of the Lakers said in his introductory press conference, "FACTS OVER FEELINGS".

Sometimes we get caught up in our emotions that we miss out on the importance of getting the FACTS straight. If there's one thing that I've learned over the years, failing to plan is planning to fail BUT BEING ABLE TO GET THE RIGHT INFO for you to be able to plan properly is KEY to a successful strategy. INFORMATION (especially in this day and age) IS KING.

So regardless if it is for making decisions for your company, business, future and even for your family try to get as much INFORMATION as possible . Then use these FACTS to make the best plan possible.

Having goals are great. But knowing WHY you want to achieve a particular goal is BETTER. My goal is to be able to speak to as many companies as possible. Why? Because I'd like to think that through my speaking, I would be able to make an impact in other people's lives. That's my IDENTITY. That's what I and my whole team want to BECOME.

What are you known for? What helps push you forward...especially during the tough times? What is your IDENTITY? Ask yourselves these questions if getting everybody on the same page is beginning to be a challenge.

Getting everybody on the same page is a challenging task. People and processes may not be in sync.

The generation gap is real and a lot of managers are not connecting with their team members because of this. The reason behind this is because we focus on the WHAT or HOW rather than the WHY.
