🌸 ALTERNATIVE SOLUTIONS:
We've found by trying to make Halubilo work best to support families in need of urgent support.

1.) FINANCIAL SUPPORT
This requires trust and meticulous screening to avoid abusive falsifiers and make sure the money goes to those who truly need it the most. (I spend most of my time talking and screening each one of the familes reaching out for help. This is hard work because unfortunately, there's a large amount of people looking to take advantage of any opportunity to get free stuff from those with the heart to help.)

We usually have been giving ₱500.00 - ₱1000.00 ($10.00 - $20.000) enough for necessities milk, food, diaper or vitamins.

2.) EDUCATION AND GUIDANCE
Protect, support, and encourage breastfeeding. Relactation is possible for some mothers who do not produce enough milk. But this takes time and their needs are mostly URGENT, so they are literally starving...

3.) CUP-FEEDING
Donate and encourage healthy solid food for babies 6 months and older

4.) DONATE FOOD THAT HELP INSCREASE LACTATION
- supplements, malunggay, lactating brownies etc.

5.) DONATE BREASTMILK

This needs to be transported in a thermal bag or cooler *requires a refrigerator* since most of the families we are helping do not have acces to one.
- consider shelf life:
Regular refrigerator: 3 days
Freezer: 2 weeks

6.) DONATE FOOD
Feeding the parents is childcare.

7.) WITHOUT EQC: MATERNITY CARE
Our mothers require better living and working conditions. Focus should be on laws and efforts to protect mothers and children to keep them from being desperate for help in the first place.

In some neighbourhoods, in order to receive relief packages from the City Hall or The Mayor's office you'd be required to leave a chair outside your doorstep so they could place the package there while practicing social distancing. How would you manage to do that if you don't own a chair in the first place, or have a doorstep or even a roof above your head? Street dwellers deserve some support too.

Small girl with a big heart. 🌸

Thank you so much Ate Rodalissa!
She was the 2nd mother who received a gift through Halubilo. Thanks to Christian! Since then, she has never ceased to try her best to pay it forward.

She is a resident volunteer from CAA, one of the most vulnerable communities in Las Piñas City. She walks all the way to visit each one of these families' homes to asses their needs so she can report them back to us. Then she goes back to distribute as much as she can. Through her efforts, along with our sponsors, we have extended our support to over 20+ families in CAA! You can help us reach more and be able to provide continuous support for families who need it the most by choosing to

Gratitude from our family from Zamboanga!

Aside from diapers and baby food, mommy Munisa also got rice, fish, vitamins and vegetables that will help her produce more healthy breastmilk for her daughter! 💓🌸

Indeed, lactating mothers are blessed. They can provide exactly what their children need the most during these early developmental years. How we wish we could all do the same!

Filipinos from the informal work sector usually earns below minimum wage. They depend on the daily grind to put food on the table. Since March 15, most areas have been out in community quarantine. They lost their livelihood. Hence, lost a way to earn money for their daily needs. Some families receive basic food relief. But how about the families with young babies? They have often neglected special needs like milk and diapers.

You can help. Consider donating and 🌸
