Focal points draw and anchor the eyes into a specific element within a space. In this luxury apartment, focal points organize the various elements and into a visual hierarchy, thereby creating a harmonized and composed environment that features all the best aspects of the space.

Interior spaces can be improved beyond merely furnishing. They can be enhanced by lighting! Whether by general light, accent light, and even through natural sources, variations in brightness, placement, and light levels can transform and enhance the features of ithe space and its furnishings.

Geometric elements are softened by a curved dining counter, its whiteness contiguous with the walls and ceilings, framed by images of a bamboo forest.

High ceilings, tall windows, and a muted color palette allow natural sunlight to permeate and diffuse through the space. Diners experience a true connection to the outside and enjoy the cycles of the day from breakfast to dinner. Earthy lilacs and rust tones add a very pleasant coloration to an otherwise neutral palette.

Shades and shadows define the planes of this whitewashed structure. Designed to sprawl across the landscape, the building spreads out horizontally with wafer-like roof planes sitting weightlessly on slender columns. Borders between the interior and exterior blur as spaces flow seamlessly from inside to outside, with the expansive swimming pool making the structure appear as if floating.

With its Main Hall considered a Heritage Site, this club underwent a significant renovation in preparation for their Centennial year celebration. Its original Arts and Crafts Style is expressed through small details like etched stair steps, steel railings, leaded glass panels, and other details like this table lamp that sits amidst a palette of citrus colors.

Is there such a thing as “timeless modern”?

This house in Alabang designed some seventeen years ago remains relevant and current. Modernist in language, its rigid geometry is broken by sweeping curves and perforations, creating openings from which shade and shadow funnel through to define the forms and spaces inside.

White plastered walls and timber work come together as a timeless combination for contemporary residential interiors.

Water features and hardscaping intersect architecture to create pockets of greenery. A shrub-lined walkways sets the direction for movement with the endpoint of this walkway defined by shade.

The play of alternating planes and punctures through the varying widths of solids and deep window recesses, fragments what could have otherwise been a massive solid block. The result is an asymmetry that is balanced and elegant.

Lines converge against a warm and neutral pallet in this residential lobby. Granite floors in two tones with smoky wood veneered walls help define the patterns of its interior architecture.

Sweet dreams are made of these. Warm timber floors and toasty woodwork made cooler with a palette of whites and grays. Black and white photographic art punctuate the room with its sharp contrasts and strong converging lines.

What's it like in your bedroom? This master bedroom is warm and cozy yet spacious. Bright and light in the daytime, and dramatic with its lighting after dusk. The developers have provided tall ceilings, large windows, and built-in shelving for a space that's unlike many other high-rise residential developments. We've dressed it up in a restrained manner, clean, in a neutral palette, putting emphasis on lighting and texture.

Striking equilibrium and indulging in just the right amount of detail and restraint, the model unit of The Estate, Makati is a fine blend of contrasts ~ dark granite and light marble, natural stone and soft furnishing, cool metals and warm timber, and spaces with airy high ceilings with views of the vibrant city below. As a Norman Foster-designed building, large windows deliver an immersive experience of the outdoor spaces, generously bringing in natural light and providing a quality of space that we very much appreciate, as we just love designing spaces that are naturally lit, airy, and have a feeling of openness.

Thrilled to know that something we designed nearly ten years ago, is still so relevant today! Published online by “Rethinking the Future”, our townhome and clubhouse project, Ametta Place.

Despite our larger scale interior architecture projects, we still enjoy working on private homes and model homes. Why? It’s a different kind of micro-planning, where every centimeter counts as either negative or positive space from which functional and decorative pieces are set in place.

The experience is also very tactile and sensory, because everything is at an arm’s reach, and experienced from within your very own personal bubble.

Twenty five years, and oh what a journey it’s been!

Better places and spaces for people are what we love creating. Twenty five years on, and moving forward, there is no greater joy in seeing people enjoying these spaces!

Since 2016, we have been working on several spaces in Two Roxas Triangle - the younger sibling of the Two Roxas Triangle Towers which were built 22 years apart. Part of these is the Two Roxas Triangle lobby which was completed in 2019.

We approached the design development with an intent to create a clean, warm, and expansive space that exudes a sense of luxury and understated elegance, welcoming the residents as they arrive home.

The space is cladded with walnut veneers, copper inlays, natural stone. The furnishings were designed with contemporary lines and make use of classic materials such as timber, brass, and alabaster.

The SEDA Central Bloc Hotel at the Cebu IT Park opened during the earlier months of the lockdown. It is our first Seda hotel!

Since the start of 2020, all coordination was done remotely, and we digitally saw this project through to its completion. Very pleased that our comprehensive design documentation did not require our design team to visit the site, as the client and their construction team on the ground had everything they needed to execute the work.

In designing this, we kept the color palette light and neutral, with splashes of color in their earthy tones. We wanted spaces bathed with generous amounts of sunlight.

Most of the furnishings are manufactured by local artisans in Cebu, and the artwork are photographs of the Cebuano life — the guitar-making craft, the Sinulog Festival, and the local Cebuano dances.

This 17 storey hotel has regular suites and serviced suites, a spacious lobby with an e-lounge adjoining an all-day dining room; meeting and function rooms; a gym, roof deck bar, and a pool deck with outdoor lounging spaces.

The images here are courtesy of the SEDA official site, as we have not been able to step into the hotel just yet.

Nearly a year after lockdown, what have we been up to?

We’ve been working closely with HongKong Land as they proceed to complete the lobbies of the first two residential towers of Mandani Bay in Cebu.

Well drawn out plans have made implementation work possible with no site visitation from our end since March of 2020!

That’s why we value the process of developing designs, and carefully studying and drawing details to interpret our design intent with as much precision.

Excited to post colored photos when this is finally done!
