Share ko lang yung isa sa mga VUL policy na kinuha ko sa barkada ko in 2015, I was 29 then. Sa totoo lang wala akong idea during that time kung ano yung kinuha ko, basta alam ko lang nagrready ako for retirement. I decided to get a 100k premium per year kasi during that time I was single and halos wala akong bayarin. In 2017, I resigned and was not able to continue paying my insurance kasi mas priority ko na mag focus sa gusto kong startup business. So technically 3.5 years lang ako nagbayad, it is my 9th policy year and if I compute yung insurance charges ko from the very beginning it is as if I only paid 11,200/year for 1 Million coverage and I still have almost 240k fund value. VUL is not for all, but for me I see VUL as a contingency fund even if something goes unplanned in your life/career. Kumbaga habang bata at kumikita, mag set aside ka din ng para sa sarili mo.
