[๐—˜๐——๐—ฆ๐—” ๐Ÿฎ๐Ÿฌ๐Ÿฎ๐Ÿฐ] The University of Southeastern Philippines (USeP) joins the nation in the commemoration of the EDSA People Power Revolution on February 25, 2024.

The National Historical Commission of the Philippines (NHCP), in its capacity as the Secretariat of the EDSA People Power Commission, sets the theme for the 38th People Power Revolution Anniversary as, โ€œEDSA 2024: Pagkakaisa at Paninindigan Laban sa Mga Bagong Hamon sa Bayan (EDSA 2024: Unity and Conviction Against the New Challenges to the Nation)โ€.

As we remember the Peopleโ€™s Power Revolution, together as a community, let us be reminded not only of the power of our collective action and endeavor but also of the enduring values that bind us together as a community and as a nation.

In the face of adversity, our community has demonstrated remarkable strength โ€“ we have surmounted challenging times with resilienceโ€”one of our core valuesโ€”by adapting to unfamiliar territories while upholding our commitment to excellence in education, research, and service.

As we continue to endeavor to transform more lives and communities, may we become agents of positive change and peace.

Wishing you all a reflective and meaningful EDSA anniversary.

With one day to go before the much-awaited 45th founding anniversary of the University of Southeastern Philippines (USeP), the legacy of our collective efforts as one community to build dreams and transform lives is truly felt!

Read the message of the University President, Dr. Bonifacio G. Gabales, Jr., for the 45th USeP Founding Anniversary on December 15, 2023:

Dear USeP Community,

Over the past four and a half decades, the University of Southeastern Philippines (USeP) has been a driving force in shaping not only the academic landscape but also the socio-economic fabric of our communities. The dedication of our faculty and staff, the brilliance of our students, and the unwavering support from our stakeholders have been instrumental in fostering an environment of excellence, innovation, and social responsibility. Through these efforts, USeP has become known as a catalyst for change, empowering individuals to reach their full potential and contribute to the sustainable development of our region and beyond.

On behalf of the USeP Administration, I extend my heartfelt congratulations to each member of the USeP family on the occasion of the Universityโ€™s 45th Founding Anniversary. The remarkable journey that we embarked on together has shaped USeP into one of the pillars of education, not only in the region but also on a national scale.

This year's theme, "Transforming Lives and Communities: The USePโ€™s Legacy of Inclusive Growth and Sustainable Development over 45 Years," encapsulates the impact our University has had on individuals and the broader society. The commitment to inclusive growth and sustainable development has been at the core of USeP's mission, and it is truly inspiring to witness the tangible outcomes of our collective efforts.

Our celebration this year is confronted again with another challenge triggered by a strong magnitude earthquake that has put our resilience to the test. While we may have rescheduled our Founding Anniversary celebration to ensure the safety and security of our community members, we believe that the spirit of this celebration will remain in our hearts.

Over the past years, our University has undergone massive changes. From a humble institution, we soared like an eagle and positioned the University as one of the leading universities across the country. Each building constructed, every accomplishment achieved, and every individual who walked through the gates of the University represents a chapter in the story of USeP's growthโ€”a living testament to our commitment to inclusive and innovative quality education for community transformation.

As we commemorate this milestone, we also unveil a time capsule brimming with the achievements of the past. Our success in academic, research, and community initiatives portrays the transformative impact our University has had on individuals and the society.

Looking ahead, let us reaffirm our commitment to the core values that have defined USeP's legacy and in transforming communities in the ASEAN and beyond for the next 45 years and more. Together, we will continue to strive for academic excellence, foster inclusivity, and champion sustainable development initiatives that positively impact the communities we serve.

I also extend my deepest appreciation to the entire USeP communityโ€”faculty, staff, students, alumni, and partnersโ€”for your unwavering dedication and tireless efforts in advancing our shared vision.

Happy 45th Founding Anniversary, USeP! May our legacy of excellence towards inclusive growth and sustainable development endure for generations to come.
