If you are physically, emotionally and mentally tired, it’s okay to step back and rest.⁣⁣

If you are spiritually drained, or experiencing faith fatigue, it’s okay to get yourself refreshed. Take a pause. Spend time with God and let His Spirit remind you of every promises God has for you.⁣⁣

Resting is working too. It’s part of the work. When you rest, God works.⁣ Rest shows us who God is– it’s when we stop and look for Him.

You’ve been pouring into others. You’ve been helping other people but you cannot pour from an empty glass. We need God. We need His presence. We need Him to fill our cups again.⁣⁣

Self-care tip: Spend time with God.

Don't forget to make time to pause and be refreshed by His word. You need it. If you're weary, confused, or burdened-- you need to silent the world and sit at His feet. Breathe.

For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart. (Hebrews 4:12)

His word is sufficient for you.
His word is where the encouragement that you need.
His word is an effective tool to check your heart.

Do not neglect your time with the Lord ❤️

Where do you get your validation from? Or where does your identity is coming from? Where do you feel most valued?

From Timothy Keller's book, he said that an idol is usually a good thing that became an ultimate thing. In other words, it is the good blessings - work, relationship, money - these are good things that we sometimes give so much weight to that it becomes the ultimate thing. An idol in our hearts.

And these are where most of us tend to get our validation from. We feel "important" because we have this or that, because we earn this much, or because of the likes we get.

It's when we feel like if we don't have such things, we are nothing.

But the gospel can free us from this. The gospel gives us new identity in Christ. It frees us from the need to be accepted- because we already are.

The temptation to get our identity outside of Christ is still there, but I pray that we will be reminded that though our hearts are prone to wander, God has already declared us worthy in Christ- all by His grace. So stop looking for other things to make you feel valued. 💛

What are your doubts and worries? Would it be helpful if will you think more about it? Sometimes, we tend to panic, stressed over it, over analyzed it and might cause us depression and anxiety, as well. Worse, it will create breakdowns. So, Be a Warrior! You will over come it because you can.

Don’t let it steal your joy. Be a Warrior! Be bold. Be confident. Have trust and have hope in Him ❤️
