Good sleep = Weight loss

If you're trying to lose weight, the amount of sleep you get may be just as important as your diet and exercise. This is because sleep deprivation affects hormones regulating hunger β€” ghrelin and leptin. When you do not get adequate sleep, the body makes more ghrelin (the hunger hormone) and less leptin, leaving you hungry and increasing your appetite.

So aim for at least 6 hours of sleep daily in order to keep your hormones in check. Don't forget to consult with a Nutritionist-Dietitian for diet-related concerns.

Is it fine to eat eggs daily?- many of us might think the "safety" of eating eggs as part of our daily meal.

To settle your question, Heart Foundation Australia says,

"Based on current evidence, the relationship between eggs and heart health is neutral.

The cholesterol in eggs has ALMOST NO EFFECT on your blood cholesterol levels. Your cholesterol levels are more influenced by the saturated and trans fat you eat.

You can include eggs as part of a heart healthy eating pattern that includes other healthy protein sources like fish, seafood, legumes, nuts and seeds, and smaller amounts of poultry. If you have Type 2 Diabetes or high cholesterol, we recommend less than 7 eggs per week.

This means WHAT YOU EAT WITH YOUR EGGS MATTERS."

Tips for eating eggs:

> The healthiest ways to cook eggs is to boil, poach or scramble them.
> Make a three-egg omelette with pepper, spinach and mushroom and eat on a slice of wholegrain bread.
> Try getting with one to two serving of vegetables when you eat eggs.
> Eggs make great lunchbox fillers for children and are very portable when hard boiled.
> Add a chopped up hard boiled egg to the top of a salad.
