💕Adobo sa Luyang Dilaw💕

One of Papi’s favorites. He used to brag about this when I was younger. I am so glad I was able to experience this “legendary” dish from my Lola Poleng (his Mother). Even more blessed that she was able to hand me down the recipe.

This heirloom recipe is one for the books..a healthier version (I guess💕). The meat (chicken or pork) is cooked with vinegar and luyang dilaw (turmeric), hence, the yellowish color. Time to break away from the norm. Not your typical adobo but definitely worth a try👌👌

We had some big bumps but managed to finish strong even with limited manpower — 1 baker (me), 1 cook (John) and 2 helpers (river and rain- packaging and errands). of our sales for the whole month of August will be used for River’s operation. My eldest son was diagnosed with Ameloblastoma, a rare and aggressive kind of tumor found in his left jaw. This is a major and dental procedure—not covered by our HMO (unfortunately😔). Thus, we are trying to raise funds to cover his operation and reconstruction.
