Noong ika-29 ng Abril, 2022, nagsagawa ang Valenzuela Anti-Drug Abuse Office (VADAO) ng Seminar on Preventive and Proper Parenting sa mga Home Owner Association ng Barangay Bignay.

SIPAG Pastors of Valenzuela City continues to work together to deliver the best service to our PWUDs (Persons Who Uses Drugs) in helping them with their recovery.

Held March 28, 2022, the SIPAG Pastors had their orientation and training to prepare for the ongoing Community Based Rehabilitation Program in all the Barangay in the Valenzuela City.

Tuloy-tuloy pa din ang ating mga masisipag na BADAC sa pagpapatupad ng Community Wellness Program Batch 4 sa kani-kanilang mga Barangay.

Patuloy ang Lectures at activities ng ating mga Coordinators upang gabayan ang ating mga PWUDs tungo sa pagbabago at tuluyang pagtalikod sa ipinagbabawal na gamot.

Muli nang nagsisimula ang Community Wellness Program sa iba’t ibang barangay at nagdadaos ng Kick-Off Ceremony.

4th Batch of Community Wellness Program: “A Change for a Change” Kick-off Ceremony held at different Barangays in Valenzuela City after being on hold due to COVID 19 pandemic.

In behalf of Atty. Bimbo Dela Cruz, we would like to thank you the Department of the Interior and Local Government, the Regional Peace and Order Council (RPOC)-NCR, & Inter-Agency Committee on Anti-Illegal Drugs (ICAD)-NCR Advocacy Cluster for this Plaque of Recognition.

The third week of November is Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Week.

According to the Dangerous Drugs Board, there are various reasons why people turn to drugs, such as widespread access, personal problems, and peer pressure. Noong ika-21 ng Setyembre, bumisita sa ating Lungsod ang United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) and the Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs of the US State Department upang maghandong ng mga dinasyon na PPE, vitamins, and hygiene products.

The Community Based Rehabilitation Program (CBRP) is a scheme that is composed of a Community Wellness Program (CWP) and a Aftercare Program (ACP) or post-monitoring. In preparation for the Aftercare Program and the Community Wellness Batch 4 that will continue on January 2021, we will be having a webinar entitled " “Webinar on the Aftercare Program for BADAC Coordinators, Barangay Duty Officers and SIPAG Pastors" that will be held on December 9, 2020 (Wednesday) at 9 am to 12 pm, via zoom.

This will tackle the Administrative and Operational Functions of the Aftercare Program, does and dont’s in the implementation of the program in this "new normal" setting and announcements regarding the Community Wellness 4th batch.

We finally inaugurated the Balai Banyuhay, Valenzuela City’s very own drug treatment and rehabilitation center on February 14, 2020.

The five-storey facility is located at A. San Roque Street in Brgy. Punturin. The establishment of Balai Banyuhay is in keeping with the city’s commitment to provide a safe haven for Valenzuelanos faced with substance use disorders and allow them to recover from the devastating cycle of addiction through evidence-based psychosocial and spiritual means.

This facility is part of the VC (Valenzuela City) Cares Plus program, the City’s comprehensive and holistic rehabilitation program to put an end to prohibited drugs and pave the way for the eventual reintegration of the drug dependents to their respective families and communities. It is also a testament to the city’s utmost support to the government’s campaign against illegal drugs and is aligned with LGU’s goal of having all 33 barangays declared as drug-cleared.

Also present during the unveiling were Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Director General Aaron Aquino and Department of the Interior and Local Government Regional Director for National Capital Region Ma. Lourdes Agustin.

The inauguration and blessing ceremonies of is part of Valenzuela City’s 22nd Charter Day celebration.
