Quill Royale to Participate in the Collab Publishing Competition at U.P.

St. Bernadette College of Valenzuela's Senior High Students have chosen to be the school's representatives for the upcoming Collab Publishing Competition on May 12, 2024 at University of the Philippines.

As part of their preparation, the aspiring journalists undergone their first training last April 30, 2024 (Tuesday) at the school library together with Mr. Jerson B. Manjares (School Paper Adviser).

The SBCV Quill Royale members showcased their skills and collaborated together by sharing ideas and experiences during the training.

The SBCV collab publishing team consists of seven (7) representatives: the editor-in-chief, news writer, feature writer, entertainment writer, cartoonist, and photojournalist.

The club will attend many trainings before the competition happens as they are preparing themselves for the said event.

"A NIGHT TO REMEMBER"

LOOK: The St. Bernadette College of Valenzuela's Seniors' Night was successfully done. This event held at Luxent Hotel located at Timog, Quezon City with the theme of "The Royalty Class of 2024". This was also attended by the Senior High School students, teachers, administrators, and honorable guests from different school work immersion's company partners.

Earlier today, the Social Security System (SSS) conducted a seminar and online registration at the St. Bernadette College of Valenzuela's auditorium. The said event covered all Grade 12 students with ages 18 and up, as part of the government institution's aim to equip the students with a security system for their future employment and savings plan.

JUST HAPPENED:
St. Bernadette College of Valenzuela conducted its earthquake drill. With the participation of the school's administrators and staff, the Red Cross, and students from morning classes, the activity was successfully held.

According to Scitable by Nature Education, an earthquake drill is one type of emergency scenario that is replicated and used to assess students' decision-making skills in order to guarantee their safety. In order for the students to respond correctly during the practice, they must have a solid understanding of the emergency response strategy.

Therefore, it is relevant to understand the essence of this drill for our own safety as individuals.
