Dum Khaa or Talanay ritual was used to be a famous ritual/festival of Gilgit Baltistan region during medieval times. This ritual was celebrated with great enthusiasm in Gilgit and adjacent regions every year in the month of December. Unfortunately, this ritual was was gone to cold stores years ago from Gilgit and surrounding areas. With the efforts of Gilgit Baltistan Nexus, once again the festival of Dum Kha celebrated in Bagrot valley in which people participated
with great enthusiasm and also sang historical folk song , which is called Sheri Badtaye Gaye…Finally, we are extremely grateful to the elders and youth of Bagrot Balchay Valley on behalf of Gilgit-Baltistan Nexus, whose cooperation has once again revived this demolished ritual of Gilgit Baltistan...

پرانے زمانوں میں گلگت بلتستان کے لوگ شکاراور اس خطے میں پائے جانے والے پہاڑی جانوروں اور پریندوں کو بہت مقدس سمجھتے تھے اور یہاں کےلوگ شکار ،شکاری اور شکار کے جانوروں سے جوڑی بہت ساری دیومالائی کہانیوبں پر یقین رکھتے تھے۔ گلگت بکتستان میں شکار کے حوالے سےبہت سی رسومات اور ثقافتی طریقے پائے جاتے تھے۔ پرانے زمانوں میں شکار یہاں کے لوگو ں کے رزق کے حصول کا ایک بنیادی ذریعہ تھا۔ آج کا پروگرام گلگت بلتستان میں شکار سے منسلک پرانے روایات، اور شکار سے منسلک متنوع رسومات کی کھوج کرنا ہے۔آج کے ہمارے مہمان حاجی یعقوب علی صاحب ہیں جو اپنے دور کے ایک منجے ہوئے شکاری تصور ہوتے تھے ۔ پروگرام کے آخر میں جنگلی حیات کے تحفظ کے حوالے سے خصوصی پیغام ضرور ملاخطہ کیجئے۔

Moreover, Traditional foods are deeply rooted in the cultural and culinary heritage of various communities. They represent the unique flavors, techniques, and knowledge passed down through generations. Preserving traditional foods helps maintain cultural diversity, identity, and traditions, fostering a sense of belonging and pride.
Organic foods have nutritional values as well. Traditional foods offer unique nutritional benefits and traditional diets are typically rich in whole grains, legumes, fruits, vegetables, herbs, wild meat and spices, providing a wide array of vitamins, minerals, fiber, and phytochemicals. بروشسکی زبان گلگت بلتستان کی ایک قدیم ترین زبان ہے۔اسی لئے بقول ڈاکٹر سلیم اختر ماہر لسانیات اس کی مستند تاریخی مواد بہت کم ہے۔ ماہرین لسانیات نے بروشسکی زبان کے ارتقاء اور اسکی تاریخ بیان کرنے پر بہت کام کیا تاکہ اس کا دیگر زبانوں سے جینئیا تی تعلق استوار کیا جاسکے مگر اب تک خاطر خواہ کا میابی نہیں ملی ہے۔
بنیادی طور پر بروشسکی زبان کے تین لہجے مشور ہیں مثلاََ نگر کا لہجہ (مشاسکی) ، ہنزہ کا لہجہ (ہنزاسکی) اور یاسین کا لہجہ (یسنسکی) اسکے علاوہ بھارت کے زیر انتظام جموں و کشمیر کا بھی ایک لہجہ ہے لیکن یہ نگر کے لہجے کے زیادہ قریب ہے۔بہرحال بروشاشکی کو گلگت بلتستان کی ایک قدیم ترین زبان ہونے کا اعزاز حاصل ہے ۔ ڈاکٹر فقیر محمد ڈائریکٹر چائنہ سٹڈی سنٹر جی-بی میڈیا نیکسس چینل کے حوالے سے اپنے تاثرات بیان کررہے ہیں ۔
