Celebrations are in full swing with the coach and ICL Administration as the delegation is back home after marking history in HUMDARD MODEL UNITED NATIONS in karachi.

IGLC Debates & MUN society is thrilled to make the announcement that, under the mentorship & coaching of Sir Hakim Chandio, our delegation has proven to be the Best Delegation at All Pakistan Hamdard Model United Nations 7th Edition by winning & sweeping the majority awards in all the committees at this MUN.

Every delegate in our delegation managed to win an award. Today has been marked as the first time in history of academic excellence of Hyderabad that an institute from Hyderabad managed to win all the awards at a nationally organised MUN happening in Karachi, namely Hamdard University.

Auditorium of Hamdard University echoed with the chants of Indus College of Law & amidst the applauds of delegates from every corner of Pakistan were the names of these individuals being announced:

Miss. Mahnoor Malik won the BEST DELEGATE AWARD in UNITED NATIONS HUMAN RIGHT COMMITTEE at HUMUN.

MR. Ayaz Palh won the OUTSTANDING DIPLOMACY AWARD in JOINT SESSION OF PARLIAMENT at HUMUN.

Miss. Fatima Bukhari won the OUTSTANDING DIPLOMACY AWARD in UNITED NATIONS SECURITY COUNCIL at HUMUN.

Mr. Nirmal Oad won the HONORARY MENTION AWARD in UNITED NATIONS SECURITY COUNCIL at HUMUN.

Mr. Asad Aman won the HONORARY MENTION AWARD in UNITED NATIONS SECURITY COUNCIL at HUMUN.

Miss. Saba Hussain won the HONORARY MENTION AWARD in UNITED NATIONS HUMAN RIGHTS COMMITTEE at HUMUN.

Mr. Kamran won the HONORARY MENTION AWARD in JOINT SESSION OF PARLIAMENT at HUMUN.

Mr. Shahzaib won the HONORARY MENTION AWARD in JOINT SESSION OF PARLIAMENT at HUMUN.

We are honoured to announce Sir Hakim Chandio as the founder and debates coach of Indus Group of Law Colleges - Model United Nations & Debates Society.

Sir Hakim is a renowned public speaker and has been part of the debates and MUN circuit of Pakistan since almost a decade.

In his public speaking career, he managed to reach the finals and win more than 15 finals of Parliamentary Debating Championships including but not limited to GIKI Debating Championship (twice), LUMS Lahore IV Varsity, Mian Iftikharuddin LGS JT Debating Championship, Zain Haider Debating Championship, NED Debating Championship, South Asia Parliamentary Tournament, University of Gujrat tournament, Punjab University Parliamentary Championship, Agriculture University of Faisalabad Championship, Kinniard College Lahore Championship (twice) & LGS Defence Lahore Debate.

Along with that, he also managed to win numerous best speaker awards throughout Pakistan, including but not limited to Ameeruddin Medical College Debating Championship, Government College Lahore Debate, LGS JT Mian Iftikharuddin Championship & University of South Asia Debating Championship.

In recognition of his achievements, he was appointed as Convener of the biggest international parliamentary debating championship of Pakistan: Shahjiwana Debating Championship.

He has been coaching debates since almost 4 years, starting his coaching career from The City School Alpha Campus Lahore.

In recognition of his nationwide achievements, which go beyond this limited note, he was bestowed with Roll of Honours for Debates by University College Lahore and for his academic excellence, sir Hakim was presented with Academic Roll of Honours by University of London (via University College Lahore).

Moreover, the interviews for all those who are interested but have failed to submit their CVs will also be conducted tomorrow.

IGLC Debates & MUN society aims to revive & play its part in erecting the edifice of debating in Pakistan. It not only introduces the commonly utilised forums of debating such as MUNs but also aims to introduce the community to dissent, debate, discourse & systematic argumentation in the form of British Parliamentary Debating Style, Asian Parliamentary Debating Style and as well as Declamations.

For the students of IGLC, this society will also focus on inculcating sharp analytical skills and improving the writing as well as speaking linguistic skills of the students so that there is, consequently, dearth of problems faced by our students while communicating and expressing their ideas in an effective, accurate, organised and articulate manner.
