𝐃𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐟𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐥 𝐞𝐚𝐠𝐥𝐞𝐬 / 𝐈𝐆𝐋𝐂𝐈𝐀𝐍𝐒!
If you're looking for a law college that'll give you wings, Indus College is where it's at! As a third-year law student, I've not only gained a rock-solid understanding of the legal system, but also soared internationally. If I look back at my journey of three years, I went from representing self in college intra-moot, to representing my college in national moot courts, to representing Pakistan twice. Thanks to Indus College of law that gave me wings to fly and touch the heights I wanted to.
With their practical training and expert faculty, I've gained recognition twice on an international level. I was still in my first semester when I participated in Phillip C. Jessup Moot Court Competition which happens to be world's biggest advocacy competition. I was, perhaps, the youngest Jessup participant from Sindh. And let's be honest, who doesn't want to be known as a legal superstar?
So if you're ready to take your legal game to the next level, choose Indus College of Law. I promise it'll be a decision you won't regret!
Best regards,
Zain Junejo

Hyderabad District Bar Association has recently opened up a "Job Desk" for newbies. It is indeed an encouraging development, as it would help law students put their careers on the right track as soon as they complete their studies.
IGLC appreciates such a positive initiative on the part of the bar members and office-bearers.
On a similar note, we'd like to advise all our young students to pursue their studies with dedication and know that IGLC, too, would be creating job opportunities for young lawyers.
So, keep your hopes high folks! 🙂

A mother's love for her child is like nothing else in the world. It knows no law, no boundaries. Yet, sometimes we take these avatars of love for granted.
Let us all remember the impermanence of life and everything in it. Let us not take them granted. Let us spend quality time with our beloved mothers each single day!
Remember the fleeting nature of time. Like Jesus is believed to have said once, 'This too shall pass'. So, cherish their company.

The Windhoek Declaration is a statement of press freedom principles by African newspaper journalists in 1991. The Declaration was produced at a UNESCO seminar, "Promoting an Independent and Pluralistic African Press," held in Windhoek, the capital of Namibia, from 29 April to 3 May 1991.

Prior to 2010 the 1973 Constitution of Pakistan did not explicitly recognize citizens’ right to access information as it states that "every citizen shall have the right to freedom of speech and expression, and there shall be freedom of the press, subject to any reasonable restrictions imposed by law”. As Pakistan signed the International Covenant for Civil and Political rights (ICCR), it was required to incorporate a right to information in its legal structure. The right to access information added to the Constitution by the 18th Amendment, which declared that under Article 19-A “Every citizen shall have the right to have access to information in all matters of public importance subject to regulation and reasonable restrictions imposed by law.”

"Indus College of Law Hyderabad (ICL) is an exceptional institution that offers a world-class legal education to its students. As a student at ICL, I can confidently say that my experience here has been nothing short of amazing. The faculty at ICL is highly knowledgeable and experienced, providing students with a comprehensive understanding of the law.
What sets ICL apart from other law schools is the numerous opportunities it provides to its students to learn and improve their skills. ICL offers a well-structured curriculum that covers various aspects of the law, and the faculty goes above and beyond to ensure that students receive practical exposure through moot courts and internships.
Of all the positive attributes that one can associate with Indus College of Law, ‘mooting’, in my view, takes the cake. ICL has crafted the careers of countless law aspirants through this. Personally, I have had the opportunity to participate in several moot court competitions, which have helped me hone my advocacy skills and gain practical experience in a courtroom setting.
I am immensely thankful for the opportunities that Indus College of Law Hyderabad (ICL) has provided me with, which have contributed significantly to my personal and professional growth. I strongly recommend ICL to anyone who aspires to pursue a career in law and desires to acquire a world-class legal education."

May 1st is celebrated as Labors'/Workers' Day each year. It’s observed as a national holiday in dozens of countries around the world, including Pakistan.
In old times, laborers/workers used to work for more than 10 hours a day. There were other working conditions that cannot be viewed as humane. Hence, workers around the world started resisting and rebelling. One movement of such resistance was the ‘Eight-Hour Day Movement’.
On 21st April 1856, Australian workers in Victoria undertook a mass stoppage as part of the eight-hour workday movement. It became a yearly commemoration, inspiring American workers to have their first stoppage. The American workers staged their protest at Haymarket, Chicago on May 1, 1886. During this time, a violent confrontation erupted between police and labor protesters on May 4, 1886, that became a symbol of the international struggle for workers’ rights.
Later on, May 1 was chosen to be International Workers' Day to commemorate the 1886 Haymarket affair in Chicago.

From the onset of my university life as an ordinary student and a nobody to being a known mooter in my third year and being selected as the President of ICLMS (Indus College of Law Mooting Society), I have been rewarded a-lot by Almighty. I started my college in the Covid year, where world was experiencing a drastic shift from manual to technology, I took it easy with my mooting journey and tried to have a good understanding of law in general on an academic level, which was a wise decision for someone who loves to do things one by one.
To guide the people who are concerned, in Indus if you are lucky enough to get an opportunity grab it whether it’s in mooting or academics but be cautious about the approach you are taking, there will be a-lot of distractions such as fame, people will start to admire you, don’t let all this gather in your mind and keep focusing on one thing which is how to nurture your craft in the field of law, nobody can learn everything in one or two years. Therefore be conscious about your learning, make it a priority and habit which will help you in your future as-well, as many known practitioners keep this habit alive.
Rachna Jagwani
President ICLMS
Dear Students,
Here are some important guidelines that we think can help you navigate well through your examinations...Reading them would, surely, help you avoid some of the most fundamental errors.
Feel free to share your own tips in the comments section. Help your fellow students perform well! 🙂
Eid Mubarak to one and all, especially our students, alumni, faculty and IGLC's adorable employees!
May this auspicious occasion bring joy, peace, and happiness to your life. May Allah's blessings be with you and your loved ones, and may your prayers be accepted.
May this Eid be a reminder of the values of love, compassion, and unity, and may it strengthen your faith and resolve to be a positive force in the world.
Wishing you all a blessed and joyful Eid! 😇🥰
Dear Students,
Slight variations have been introduced in the exam schedule. Semester exams pertaining to the subjects of 'Administrative Law', 'Corpporate Law-I', 'Banking Law' & 'Law of Civil Procedure-I' have now been postponed to 11th & 12th of May, 2023.
However, timing of all other exam papers would remain unaltered.
We want to take a moment to commend ICL’s mooting team on its exceptional performance in the recent Jessup International Moot Court Competition.
It was inspiring indeed to watch our team fight tooth and nail and compete at high level against four of the finest universities in the world. To begin with, we locked horns with the University of Oxford – which is a world-famous university with ‘global influence’ and has been consistently ranked among the top-ten institutes across the globe; besides having a track record of being a strong contender in world-level competitions.
What followed, then, was an intense tug of war with the University of the Philippines, University of Benin, and the American University in Central Asia. This entails our team competed with teams of 3 different continents, i.e. Europe, Asia & Africa – which indeed qualifies as something we can safely swank about.
Thank you Rachna, Faryal, Zain & Ghulam Rasool for making us proud by showcasing your talent, passion, and competence throughout the competition. It was evident that you put in a tremendous amount of effort and dedication to get to the world’s largest moot court competition.
Thank you for representing Pakistan!
We encourage you to keep pushing yourself, stay positive, and keep working towards your goals. You guys are an inspiration for many.
We look forward to seeing more of such exemplary performance on your part in the future 🙂
Glimpses from the "Orientation Session", Phillip C. Jessup International Moot Court Competition, Washington, D.C.
𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐦 𝐈𝐂𝐋, the only team representing Pakistan, is very optimistic about the outcomes of the forthcoming rounds 🙂
ICL's mooting team, comprising Syeda Faryal Shah, Rachna Jagwani, Ghulam Rasool Walhari & Zain-ul-Abdeen, has begun marching towards the international rounds of the world’s largest moot court competition (Phillip C. Jessup) after defeating the reigning champions in national rounds. The international rounds are set to take place on April 8 in Washington, D.C. The winning team will compete to become the world champion the following week.
Yale Law School, considered to be the leading law school in the world, has also been shortlisted for the international rounds. It is, indeed, incredibly rewarding to have the potential and legal acumen to stand shoulder to shoulder and compete with the world’s finest teams and institutions. Achievements of this sort have proved time and again that Indus College of Law is paragon of mooting all over Pakistan. From the year 2019 and onwards, ICL has, without exception, held the fortunate distinction of being ‘Finalist’ in the Phillip C. Jessup International Moot court competition wherein participants from 700 different law schools/colleges/university and as many as 100 different countries and jurisdictions come to test their intellectual might.
It is pertinent to specify that our performance in the national rounds was the culmination of months of research, writing, and practice aided by unflinching resolve and focused guidance of Mr. Mohsin (the team coach).
We intend to carry the same dedicated approach in the upcoming bouts at Washington DC as well.
Godspeed, Ghulam Rasool, Zain-ul-Abdeen, Syeda Faryal & Rachna Jagwani! 🙂
Team Indus College of Law has conquered the LUMS International Moot Court Competition in style! A round of applause for Mr. Asad Aman, Ms. Anza Riaz, and Ms. Saba Hussain for their spectacular victory. The icing on the cake is that they achieved this feat with only 5 days of preparation! Kudos to the amazing advisory duo of Mohsin Ali Sahar and Mohammed Din Jamali for guiding and motivating them to the finish line. Let's celebrate this amazing achievement and wish them all the best for their future endeavors!😊

IGLC is once again in the vanguard of mooting. Spearheaded by our adept coaches, Ms. Rabail Shaikh & Mr. Shahbaz Rajpar. Team IGLC has emerged victorious in semi-final rounds and has ended up as one of the FINALISTS in the recent National Women Moot Court Competition hosted by International College for Legal Studies.
The outstanding performance of our team members, namely Momina Saleem, Zarsha Memon and Farah Laghar, is highly commendable.
It is the the dedication, perseverance, hard work and insightfulness of each member and mentor that we are once again on the forefront! The splendid oratory skills as well as the analytical mindset that we instill in our students have certainly played their role. IGLC is proud and delighted at this accomplishment!
Bravo, dear team members and coaches! We expect more of such exceptional performance from you in the days to come! 🙂
Hoorah! It’s a proud moment for IGLC that our team, comprising Momina Saleem, Zarsha Memon and Farah Laghari, has qualified in the preliminary rounds of the National Women Moot Court Competition organized by YGA (Youth General Assembly) at International College for the Legal Studies, Lahore.
Of course, such an excellent performance is almost always accompanied by the dedicated efforts of a mentor or a coach. This competent team was finely coached by Mr.Shahbaz Rajpar, who also happens to be the incumbent Vice-President of ICL’s mooting society. He has a mooting experience of about four years under his belt.
It is because of the synergy of all the team members and the coach that our team has landed into the semi-finals after outperforming many teams in the quarter-rounds.
Shahbaz, Momina Saleem, Zarsha Memon & Farah Leghari- good luck ahead! We are counting on you! 🙂
Dear IGLCians, gear up for the upcoming exams! Know that you are inching closer to your destiny with each semester exam. We bid you good luck!
